Union Entertainment and Top Cow today announced a long-term deal that grants Union the exclusive right to develop multiple video game titles based on Top Cow's extensive library of comic book properties such as The Darkness, Witchblade and more ...
Top Cow and Union established its relationship on Top Cow's The Darkness. Union identified the property as having unique video game potential, developed an initial game concept, attached game developer Starbreeze and Eisner Award winner Paul Jenkins, and set it up for next generation console systems.

Guess we now know who took over the project from Majesco.
Good news. After Chronicles of Riddick, I'm a fan of Starbreeze, so I'm gald that The Darkness is getting picked up by Union.

Did Top Cow do Danger Girl?
Only comic I ever wished was truly real.
Who?
I know who Starbreeze are... they did that crappy midevil game on the Xbox, Enclave. Oh wait, that's right... everyone loves Riddick, so that's what they've done.
I know who Top Cow are... Darkness, Witchblade, Tomb Raider, umm... not much else worth noting...
Who the hell are "Union"?!? Are they a developer? Publisher? Sounds to me like they're just a bunch of suits who put other suits in a room and take money from the suits talking to each other and signing deals over 3-martini lunches.

I don't think Top Cow did Danger Girl, but maybe Image, who publishes Top Cow comics, published Danger Girl. That's my guess.

Enclave was pretty fun for me actually, played it on the PC. There's nothing better than playing a tiny goblin and killing a ton of big humans.
Danger Girls was published by WildStorm under DC comics. Man it's been a gazillion years for me.

Union Games is a video game production company that works with A-list talent to develop and produce video games of every genre through major publishers. Union derives its projects from video game concepts, comics, screenplays, novels, and domestic and foreign films.
Union's competitive advantage over other video game production companies is its unique ability to simultaneously produce video games and films. By having video game and film production centralized through one company, Union enables and encourages talent from both mediums to work together in all aspects of the creative process.
Additionally, through its vast network of relationships with film companies, Hollywood studios and talent agencies, Union is able to identify films in development with video game potential and develop and co-produce them as video games so that the release of the game coincides with the release of the film.
Competitive advantage? Oh, yeah, it's really hard to point your finger at something and say "Gee, I think this would make a good movie slash game".
Able to identify films in development with video game potential... wow. Obviously amazing talent there.
It's also interesting how they don't actually list a portfolio of titles, but instead hide the game boxart in the background... no films to speak of except 'Godsend', whatever that is. Anyway, the games are, uh... 'Tao Feng', 'Jimmy Neutron', 'Ice Age', 'Dead to Rights' and 'Monsters Inc'.
