From the out-of-the-blue department comes this announcement found on SEGA's European (http://www.sega-europe.com/) site that two former console titles: multiplatform Sonic Mega Collection Plus (http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?game=sonicmegaplus) and GameCube's Billy Hatcher and The Giant Egg (http://www.sonicteam.com/giantegg/index_e.html) are going to be released on the PC on March 31 (http://www.sega-europe.com/en/NewsStory/1019.htm):

SEGA Europe today announced it is bringing two of its much loved console classics to the PC. Sonic Mega Collection Plus and Billy Hatcher and The Giant Egg, two favourites amongst SEGA fans, are set for their PC debut across Europe on 31 March.

Help Billy collect and control magical eggs by using the powers of the legendary chicken suit. Restore light to a once magical world now ruled over by an evil King, who has captured the creatures that live there and cloaked the land in everlasting night. Explore the vast 3D world with its massive, colourful environments, each with their own missions and secrets, and defeat the evil bosses. Billy Hatcher and The Giant Egg was Sonic The Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka's and SONICTEAM's first all-new platform game since the SEGA Saturn era and has sold over 100,000 Nintendo GameCube versions to date throughout Europe.

Sonic Mega Collection Plus is a celebration of one of the most successful game characters of all time, Sonic The Hedgehog. Having sold nearly 800,000 copies on console to date, this PC compilation brings you all your favourite old-school Sonic moments, including Sonic The Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Ristar, Flicky, Comix Zone, The Ooze and more!

Weird.

Didn't PC already get a Sonic Mega Collection? I forget the title, but it had the 4 main genesis sonics included. But I guess this includes those other bonus titles. PC also got Sonic CD long ago.

Billy Hatcher was fun for a while.

Instead of porting Sonic collections, they should like, work on a new one that actually resembles the quality of the ones in those collections.

They did, it was actually a huge pack that included several games from many of the games on Sonic Megacollection, Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally (or was Daytona USA...can't remember), Sonic CD, Sonic R and others like Vectorman. It all wasn't on one disc, it was a big value pack of sorts.

But Billy Hatcher was mediocre, so who cares?

The console does have Sonic CD. You can find it on the Sega CD (obviously) or on Sonic Gems Collection on the GCN.
