Trine Hits PSN Tomorrow... for EU

Trine has been delayed for quite some time, in order to fix a few bugs, on the Playstation 3. Welp, looks like at least some folks on the PS3 will get to play it very soon... tomorrow in fact! 1Up (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3176060) is reporting that folks in the European Union will get this Lost Vikings-esque title on 9/17/09, but a US release date is still up in the air.

In the official release, Frozenbyte announced that the European version will be arriving this week. However, the release date is still listed as "to be determined" in North America. Looks like North Americans may have to sit tight a little longer if they want to play Trine on the PS3.

Trine was originally supposed to arrive on the PS3 back in July, but unexpected bugs forced Frozenbyte to hold it back. The PC version is currently available on Steam, with Atlus planning to publish the Xbox 360 version at a later date.

Ugh, EU only. I had a lot of interest in this game originally, but between the exorbitant price on STEAM, shifting US release dates on the PS3, and the questionable nature of whether there will even be a 360 version I'm losing interest fast.

I'm really enjoying the PC version and think it's almost worth the price. Don't get me wrong, it's still not worth the price, but it comes closer than a lot of other games.

I didnt really like this game very much, its charming at first, but the jumping is really floaty and the game feels slow.

My (unsubstantiated) theory: MS is paying the developers to delay release in the US until the XBLA version is ready.
