Wow, at first I thought it was concept art, but it does look like it really is screenshots. That's pretty impressive. I dig the art style, and if they can keep the framerate up, this looks like it will be a beauty to watch.

The only problem here is that Splash Damage has never made a decent game. Their first game was so terrible that Activision gave it away for free.

Do you remember the screenshots for Quake Wars? They were amazing, but they were cocked up by a piss-poor interface once you got in-game. This company has no idea how to create a pleasing interface for their products.

It would be great if Brink was the title that could get them to finally marriage their amazing screenshots with some amazing gameplay, but I'm not sitting around waiting to be picked as ring bearer.

Err.. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory.. a bad game???

That's still probably one of the best MP game ever made. Please pay respect to gaming history.

As good as W:ET might have been, Quake Wars was abysmal. It just didn't feel right when playing it, and as others have said, the interface sucked. Maybe they'll have learned their lesson, but I'll hold off on getting excited.

QW screenshots made the game look incredible, and these follow the trend, but I have my doubts.

I disagree completely. My group of friends got more mileage out of that free game with a few maps than we did out of dozens of full price, 'AAA' titles.

It had rpg progression through campaigns with objectives that you completed with class based gameplay. It was actually far ahead of its time.

Quake Wars was a lot of fun when I played it at Quake Con this year. The shooting doesn't have a great feel to it, but I was having lots of fun dropping hammerhead missiles on unsuspecting enemies. And teammates occasionally.

I was pretty dissapointed in the final product however, especially after how exciting it was to play it three years ago for the first time it was shown at Quake Con. Then, it was crazy and new. Now, it's somewhat dated, though the campaign design and missions are still excellent.

I have put a lot of time into QWars so im a bit of a fanboy. The sequental objectives and asymetric class based play has a lot of replay value. Theres still a fair number of players playing at this (PC). There's enough well tuned stuff in the game, that the throwaway stuff (Shotty, Portable Machinegun) does not detract from the total experience.

+1 Seen this game running (thanks Chicken Pax!). Those screens are a reality.

Not sure how I feel about the class system, but the 'commander' AI director thingy looked like a good idea to keep players on track rewarding them with XP. Curious to see how that works out.
