If your Wii isn't getting any use at the moment perhaps this trailer will make you want to dust it off in time for October 13th (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002FG9MWE?ie=UTF8&tag=l7wo-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002FG9MWE).

So I'm like, is it a movie trailer, is it a game? Oh, it's a game, kinda cool, good one for the kids. If it has the word 'lego' in the title it'd sell a billion units, right. Then they had to go and ruin it by naming the planet 'Blobonia', that is quite cringe-worthy :P

That looks AMAZING.

It's really amazing how 2 seconds of quality animation of two characters interacting can create portray a relationship that 20 pages of cutscene dialogue can't.

And Anenome, it's a remake of a 20 year old NES game and the planet was called Blobonia in the original. Not to say they would have changed it if he had just made it up now...

Freaking LOVE the animation. Looks fantastic. Reminds me of Studio Gibli works. God how I wish animation would go back to having emotion, character, and detail like this. 99% of modern stuff is so shite.

I got rid of my Wii a long time ago, so I hope they port this to other platforms.

I am pretty pumped for this game. I rememberp laying the original so much at my friends house... Yah, can't wait!

Yeah I know, I played the original, a bit. And I see your point. I actually like the trailer's use of the blob in all sorts of new ways that look pretty cool.

If there was a game that I was movie worthy in a complete non-fail way, this would be it.

Take out the 'I' in the previous post because I suck at deleting things.

Since I saw the first screens, I was in love with the art-style of the game. Can't wait for this one to come out. Absolutely loved the first.

If only all remakes were made with this much love for the source material. This really looks amazing!

This is a reboot of an existing game released back in 1989. The name Blobonia is from that game. You couldn't redo A Boy and His Blob and not use the same nomenclature as the original.

Perhaps a retcon would've been good this time around :P

is the nes game an unlockable?

That does seem to be a trend, doesn't it.

I think most people would find the NES game to be completely unplayable. I mean... I liked the game and I found it to be completely unplayable back THEN.

LOL, I completely agree XD That game was really pretty horrible, even for its time. "E.T. the Extraterrestrial" for Atari was almost more understandable.
You basically had to brute force a solution to every puzzle. Plus, if I recall, what the jellybeans actually did wasn't very clear, like it was in the manual or something?

Why can't they remake actual good games???

REMAKE BLASTER MASTER, NOWWWWWW.

That is all.

Come on! Let's go! Come on! Let's go!

Heard that twice in the trailer alone. Makes me wonder how often the game will have it....

That looks fucking fantastic.

Finally something to play on my Wii, and it's all 2d goodness (counting The Demon Blade, out now).

I wonder if "World of Goo" had anything to do with this game reappearing.
