TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com/) has posted some new screenshots and wallpapers (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/10178/Battlefield-2-Modern-Combat-Xbox-360-Screenshots-Wallpapers/) of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the Xbox 360. The title is slated to drop into North American stores during the first part of March.
Those are some damn pretty screenshots!

I'm eager to see the game gets released, maybe we can settle the BF2 bullshot argument.

Christ, nothing for 2 months then this and Fight Night 3 out on the same day out here. I never really paid attention to the PC version, but this is looking pretty indeed.

Is it just me or do all the screens for this game look blurry?

Most of them do look pretty blurry.

I see no argument. This is the prettiest BF yet. And gameplay second to the PC version because it has no Jets.

Shallow observation. The gameplay is fundementally different by virtue of being a console experience, not a PC one. They are very different games.

Like most hardcore PC entheusiasts I have a custom mod "top of the line" fucking cold cathode tube light shooting out everywhere Holy fuck is my PC better than any pissant console produced for the unwashed masses. My question is this.....if BF2 barely runs on my Norse God Thors hammer; How in the hell will a console run it?

Your "Norse God Thors hammer" have three 3.2 GHz cores and a custom ATi graphics processor eh?

I know what you mean. To me the screens don't look as good as previous media we've seen.
I'm very intrested in seeing how the game looks actually on the LCD TV.
I'm still looking forward to this game. However I can imagine me playing Ghost Recon AW more.
I'm not gonna have a lot of money in march :(
BF2.
FN3.
GR:AW.
Blazing Angels.
The Outfit.
I'm gonna have to go for...

I have this great Idea!! but I need some help.
I want to make a Photoshop mod for all the consoles, I am not sure if it will be hardware or software based but this way all these games coming out will look exactly like their screen shots. woo hoo Bullshots FTW!!!

What's a console experience, btw? Having a huge crosshair? Everybody wants to fly a fighter plane and reign destruction from above - with a gamepad or flightstick. C'mon there must be something to differentiate this and plain vanilla BF2MC for last-gen consoles other than graphics.

I have issues running regular Battlefield 2 with a 104 Keyboard...there arent even half as many buttons on a 360 controller...Its going to be a dumbed down, and made more accesible for the console kiddies. That is just one part, i am lazy, but there are more than just this.

Thats right all console games are dumbed down because we all no the incredible intelligance it takes to push all those keys on the keyboard no matter how redunted most are and us "console gamers" just aren't smart enough.
Personally I will take streamlined and organized control over huge and sloppy any day. (now if only console fps's could use mice)
differant side of the same coin

I've got a huge amount of enjoyment out of both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. I love the fighter jets, I love running around as a specific part of a team working in small tactical squads, performing micro-objectives and the like. I also love being curled up in front of my television, just a joypad in my hand with all the functional ease and accesibility that Xbox Live provides. I lack the articulacy to differentiate the two, but the console experience is not inferior - it is just different.
As for what sets this apart from current gen. Modern Combat then I guess you have all the advantages of 360 online functionality - enhanced clan support, achievements and the like. And the graphics do make a distinct difference to gameplay once things like depth of view and HDR come into play.

Personally I like a keyboard because using arrows for movement put roughly 20 keys within ease of reach without sacrificing any precision on either movement or aiming. The same is completely impossible on a joypad.
However, I have never understood the praises of Xbox Live. Though I don't claim to have any knowledge or experience of Live, how is there any difference between Live and a PC? Fire up the game, go to MULTIPLAYER, filter for servers, join one, play.
So, what am I missing here?
PS. I'm still not impressed by those screenshots. I call bullshot, yet again.

The PC way of fire up game, go to multiplayer, filter for servers, join one, play. Isn't as instant and user friendly as Xbox Live. Especially when you want to play with friends. In my experience anyway.
With Xbox live me and my friends can all play together with no hassle. It's a very different experience trying to get everyone together on a PC and single server.

I'd also add, that you can check up on your friends whenever you like, see what games everyone's playing, (and even if they're winning or losing) invite people to chat/games at any time* (even if they're playing a different game/watching movies) compare games stats* etc
It's great for me because I only get to play online seriously once or twice a week online, so when I do I usually want to play a few games of everything. On live we can voice chat and switch games/find each other with no hassle.

Surely it's irrelavent when everybody is having the same experience with regards joypad precision and key use? It's all a level playing field. That it's less twitchy does not make it a less good game.

I know KamaItachi, it's great. I love popping on and seeing what friends are online and offer a quick game.
I recently suggested to my friend to not upgrade his PC because he already has a good system. He now has a 360. Now he just gets online with the rest of us and have a good laugh. Hell we played mp Marble Blast Ultra for few hours. We can either have a play amongst ourselves with just friends on PGR3 and then open it up for other Xbox live users later. We had hours of fun playing with no hassle.

How can you call them bullshots if they're not that impressive?
