IGN has totally destroyed Raven Squad in their recent review (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/102/1021231p1.html). Giving it their lowest Xbox 360 score to date, a 2 out of 10... That score is shared with Beat'n Groovy, an XBLA title.
So, let's sum this bad boy up. Raven Squad has some of the worst graphics around, and even then it doesn't run smoothly. It combines bad first-person shooting with bad real-time strategy. Voice actors everywhere can point to it as a reason why they deserve paychecks. The writing is amateurish. Oh, and it'll last you all of one lazy afternoon. Sounds like an early contender for worst game of all eternity.
Don’t play this game. The idea of blending a first-person shooter with a real-time strategy game isn’t a bad one, but the execution was a complete failure. I’ll look back fondly at my time reviewing Raven Squad -- all three hours of it -- but only because I couldn’t stop laughing at the fact that this game exists.
Is it really 2.0 bad? That's pretty damn bad.

Wait a couple of weeks and get it for under $10. Or you can wait for it to show up on Games on Demand for $90.

Watch the video on IGN for a sample of the voice acting. You'll be laughing all day!
Wow! Almost as bad as Halo 3!

Ouch. I was going to try it out but I'm not going to bother renting it now.
Judging from the video it didn't look that bad.
To me a 2/10 is unplayable junk. This looks like it would be fun for around 10 bucks.
I'll be reviewing the game after its UK release. Excited!

Any review that goes out of its way to mention "how bad the graphics are" really loses a lot of credibility. The fact that graphics are such a big deal really saddens me. Even though this game is probably a steaming pile of shit, I somehow doubt that the graphics are the cause of any of it.
Why does every game need to be like Crysis in order to not flunk miserably when it comes to graphics?

I'm still gonna play it, of course that may be a year from now, when ever it hits $10. I have little hope of finding a copy to rent and since no one else is gonna buy it the multiplayer becomes useless, so I have all the time in the world.
However I really wish someone who reviews this explains what is so wrong with the FPS/RTS hybrid elements. I couldn't care less about the graphics and / or voice acting but I would love to see more developers try this and other different gameplay and if no one can explain why it's so bad, it dosen't really help.

I remember IGN gave Legendary a 2.5/10, but I didn’t think I was THAT bad. So that might be the same case with Raven Squad…or it just might be crap…

I agree, while Legendary wasn't very pretty and was extremely linear, the first 15 minutes had more interesting cinematic moments during the course of gameplay than most games have in multiple hours. It still didn't deserve much of a score since it wasn't worth $60, but that score was more like a 6/10.
It looks as if there is no way that Raven Squad is worth $60, but it seems that even if it's short, easy and laughable, it's playable and something different. IMO that is worth at least 5/10.

I've played the game and although I think 2/10 is way too low, the graphics suck enough to deserve mention. I've seen better character models and textures on the PS2.
