I discovered this little gem of a site while looking for xbox 360 achievements and I have to say that it is by far the best wrap up to-date. All the other sites I found had outdated or incorrect information. That and the other sites had atrocious graphics. The site in question?
www.Achieve360Points.com (http://www.achieve360points.com)
From their about page:
Achieve360points.com is a website dedicated to game achievements on the Xbox 360. It's main purpose is to list each achievement for every Xbox 360 game, and to give the reader detailed information on how to attain these achievements by providing information on secret achievements, walkthroughs, tips and strategies, and glitches or errors that prevent achievements from being attained.
Don't let that gamer that glitched his way to over 4 million gamerpoints (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9344) bother you either, as he no longer appears on the leaderboard (http://www.mygamercard.net/leaderboard.php), so let's all assume the problem has been fixed. So, anyone else get half of these achievements?
I really wish I would have came up with this idea first.

Yeah, it seems that in general, most of the awards are simply for playing a game to its ass-end and back again, not for any "skill" at the game, so to speak. So basically, this is just a measure of who loses the most of their life to their 360...

Well, all 360 games have to have a minimum number of achievements to be Microsoft certified, which isn't really news to anyone here. Though I mean, early on obviously developers are just going to go, "well, just throw this in there to give us enough" - but I think in the next wave of games, or the next one after that, we'll start seeing developers working on achievements a little more, making it more apart of the game than tacked on at the end.
So I think the site's going to be quite useful a few months down the line, if it's still around by then.

yeah, I had noticed that with the PD0 achievements..virtually all revolve around online play with a great deal of them requiring huge amounts of time spent versus skill used.
DOAUltimate had a running clock that showed in one of the menus and it kept time even in menu screens, not just gameplay. If the same holds true for this title, leaving the game on while running errands/going to work will net those 100 achievement points sooner than later [referring to DOA4]

Seriously that site needs a black background or something darker...that shit hurts my eyes. Yeah some games have a good bit of time spent achievements but there are some pretty good skill/look for hidden stuff related ones. Condemned and Call of Duty 2 have the best achievements of the games I have played so far. I am going to rent Condemned again to get the rest, that game was mad fun. I sent back Call of Duty 2 after two days so I could get some more games played from my Gamefly Q before Full Auto releases. I would like to rent CoD2 again also for the Veteran achievements.

Looks like they're not the only one - came across another site that's been collecting achievements while googling away. Looks like it's under construction, but does seem to have more achievements than any other site I've seen so far.

Anyone seen any others? Makes you wonder if the PS3 will have their own version of achievements....

Ever since I read that post on Penny-Arcade I see gorilla marketing everywhere. Who else is as paranoid as I?

I'm not paranoid at all about it. I take some pills (http://www.prozac.com/index.jsp) to help with that, and I occasionally surf some cool (http://myspace.com) web sites (http://slashdot.org) to pass the time (http://www.rolex.com).
When I get thirsty, I drink some really refreshing sodas (http://www.pepsi.com), and then play some awesome games (http://www.ubisoft.com).

Yeah it is. Arnold parody and a damn good one.
Cool idea for a site. Let's see how long it lasts. Big task gathering all that data in one place.

I'm with you. Sucks we're in a world where there's really nothing you can do but be paranoid. :(
That said, I will agree with the original poster that the site that started this thread looks pretty good. And no ads. <shrug>

Yeah, the time sink required for most of the PDZ achievements are pretty shocking. 1,000 kills in Team Killcount? 1,000 kills with a sniper rifle? I'm sure there are already games online entirely devoted to getting these achievements (there were loads for Conker online which had a similar system to unlock things)
but what's the damn point?
At least for Condemned collecting the birds/pieces of metal also helps explain the ending as well as giving you points so is worth going back to do.

If nothing else, it'll tell Microsoft and the devs how popular all their games actually are with the connected 360 crowd, instead of just the big online games. For example, if a similar system had existed on the Xbox they would have found out how much fun I had playing three different golf games, two volleyball games and a tennis game. Oh Lord, I don't think that's the kind of information we want getting out!
