With a busy week behind me, I have lots of work to do this weekend to get caught up. But, if I have time I will be playing the usual suspects - CoH and WoW. My time with EVE-online is finished - and I will be writing up the final segment of it - needless to say - I enjoyed it and wished I had more money and time, or at least more money. What are you playing this weekend?

Another blah weekend for me, have quite a few games a haven't started yet but just can't seem to get interested in anything enough to start playing.

I played Kameo all day so far. Tried for the 100 fruits. Ended up with 99 after following a list right after beating the game. Ugh.

So I'll be taking a break from that hunt and trying my hand at co-op boss beating. Also NFS:MW and then some DOA4 while at my friend's super bowl party Sunday.

Hotlapping the nordschleife on both PGR3 and GT Legends.
Learning how to fool the cheatybas (tm) AI on DOA4.
Praying to $deity that the new star wars RTS appears on the play now, buy later scheme.

King Kong. I was waiting for a price drop, and the Best Buy here finally came through. Linear, but I think it's fun. 'Cept when I'm out of spears and three raptors are bearing down on me. Also, you can't shoot/stab your fellow adventurers. Where's the fun in that? Other than that, Prince of Persia: Two Thrones, and Animal Crossing: Wild World!

I started Condemned so probably some of that. I'm kinda getting hooked on Geometry Wars again. I"m pretty under the weather so it's probably more movies than anything else this weekend.

My last weekend of WoW if I do not resubscribe. I will also continue a little Homeworld 2. I want to play some Freelancer but I can't find my disk. I might also play some Gun on the 360.

I too have been sick this week. Between my fainting spell (hit the toilet 3 times on the way down and it looks like Tyson took a few swings at me), my daughters fender-bender accident and her migraine attacks. We have spent a lot of time in the Hospital and Doctors office this week.

I hope you feel better B.A. (I think I like that better than Bap for short). Condemned gave me motion sickness. I hope it doesn't have the same affect on you.

I'm still trying to get 5-star scores with all the characters in Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries. Hunk is by far my favorite character but is also the toughest to score 60k+ with.

I'll also get some Fire Emblem (GC) and Guild Wars in. And of course my turnip shopping in Animal Crossing.

Going to try and make some headway on some RPGs this weekend as well (Shadow Hearts, Jade Empire, FFX). Hoping to come across a 360 since I've got a little extra cash.

Finishing up my DDO beta subscription (if work doesn't keep me from logging in for the fourth day in a row). Also, I'm trying to bring Europe under the heel of the Holy Roman Empire, but they're not submitting as easily as they did to my Roman army centuries ago. If I get in a consoley mood, I'll play Shadow of the Colossus.

I might play a little Guild Wars or finish up Dragon Quest 8 (but fuck me is that game long).

Hmmm.. I'm inclined to maybe give The Movies another shot, see it it will be stable-enough to not piss me off again (coz dammit, right up until every crash it's really really fun.) But all this talk of racing has me considering a bit of a leisurely drive around San Andreas (offroad tracks, maybe), or some of the old Colin McRae 2 (which, honestly, I never tire of) :)

..Um, that's going to have to wait until I've finished intensely 'testing' the new 8-bit emulators (c64, ZXSpectrum, Amstrad, Gameboy) I just downloaded to the Mac last night. :D

My stepfather-in-law got one of these things for Xmas, and as soon as he took it out of the box (and crashed it into a couch 5 minutes later) I knew I had to have one for my birthday. It arrived yesterday, and my wife has a 3+ hour cut'n'color hair appointment tomorrow, so wish me luck.

Heh, I'm no expert at it. Only recently have I been able to beat Noble relativley consistently, but I'm going to keep working on it.

Check out the Apolyton strategy forums. There are a few guys there that should have a book deal. I'd buy them. Very good stuff.

Well, it gets somewhat decent after you get to the part where you have to activate the two clockwork mechanisms to open the Sand chamber. The combat is minimal and there is a lot of platforming in this section that is quite fun.

Unfortunately, it gets really crappy again after you get a bit past the Sand Chamber part.

I tried and tried and ultimately gave up. The Two Thrones, on the other hand, is what Warrior Within wished it could be.

Let's see.

I've had a rather crappy week this week. I worked almost 70 hours ending on Monday morning and then had a combination of the flu and something resembling Homer's Rage Boils for most of the week. Oh, and the joy of chasing a toddler around while being exhausted and sick.

Thankfully, I've more or less gotten past that stage of the game and have the weekend off and relative sanity seems to be here. Of course, I'm now at the "My Car Won't Shift From Park Into Drive When I Turn On The Ignition" stage of the game, which will require much prayer, cursing and hope that I can get it to the shop and not go bankrupt on Monday.

In the meantime, I'm going to keep working on Dragon Quest 8 (come on, flight!), Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow and will hopefully get a chance to start Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.

I've had M&L since I got my DS but haven't had a chance to turn it on as I was busy working on Phoenix Wright and Trace Memory. I've finished both of those this week and can now, hopefully, start up this game. Thank god I have the rumble pak from Metroid Pinball. Huzzah!

I picked mine up at the EB in Milton back in mid-December when they told me they were discontinuing both titles. You might need to scour the shelves of Wal-Mart *spit* or other non-game stores. Otherwise, time to pony up the dough and order off Ebay. You could try GetGames.ca or IOGC.net and rent them and see if you can buy them used.

I will keep my eyes open for them though. I had seen copies of Trauma Centre more recently than Phoenix Wright, but that was shortly after Christmas.

I finally beat Shadow of the Collosus yesterday, so that lit a fire under my ass to try my hand at beating the games I've let fall by the way side: Chaos Theory, Jade Empire and possibly some Magna Carta. I was gonna finally pick up Sims 2, but I don't think I can cope with that kind of soul-sucking entertainment right now, what with a semester thesis paper coming up and my boss piling on the hours at work. Maybe this summer...

I know what I'm NOT playing... the Xbox 360 I was planning on getting soon... just got back from the vet this evening where I discovered my INDOOR cat had somehow broken one of his back legs. :( Poor kitty.
Got him a scheduled surgery (called a FHO) on Wednesday. That's gonna suck up my Xbox 360 money and then some (probably be 6 months before I can get one now - heh, but maybe they'll actually be in stock by then! :D ).
Maybe I'll play some Civilization 4/Age of Empires 3/Guild Wars this weekend.

Playing COD2 on the 360 on Veteran right now, and the Matmata Clearing mission is driving me to commit hate crimes. 3rd checkpoint and I'm about ready to sell this son of a bitch. There's only so many times I can be told to throw a smoke grenade before I murder my entire unit to a man and take up residence in a local home, removing the heads of the inhabitants and laying them out on plates in front of thier decapitated corpses at the dinner table.

Also, I'm playing through Castlevania: Curse of Darkness on PS2, and it's very fun.

I just wrapped up Jak II and started Jak 3. I picked these up expecting them to be similar to the first game. I was disappointed when they weren't. Jak 2/3 are now action games instead of a platformer. They are still decent, but not as good as the first one. I even collected all orbs in the first game before I beat it -- it was that good.

I loved the first a lot, but I actually liked the 2nd and 3rd better. 3rd is a bit easier than the 2nd -- more of a balance from the super-easiness of the first and the super-hardness of the second.

Started up Morrowind GOTY on the PC for the first time. Played a bit on the xbox but wanted to play it on the PC. Apparently there's some good mods?

Playing through Icewind Dale again, never completed it first time so that's the goal this time round.

Going even older-school I recently completed Unreal so I decided what better time to complete Return to Na Pali which I purchased with Unreal when it was released and hadn't touched since!

I have Trauma Center and never play it. I could probably be persuaded to trade it with someone, even though I know I'd regret it when the game price jumps up to 100 bucks because of its rarity.

But I also want Phoenix Wright, so I'm in the same boat there.

Wait, you mean there are other games besided WoW?

J/K, but ever since I started playing it about a month ago, most other games I own just seem mediocre at best. My current problem in WoW is my Alt-aholism. I can't seem to get past 30 with a toon before I try another class and get all into that one. On the plus note, I have everything but a Shaman toon leveled up to at least 20, heheh. I had to start a Hunter since I had a sweet blue gun drop for one of my other toons. Now my goal is to get to 22 so I can use it. Hopefully I should get there tonight.

Well... I went to the campus' Anime Club Anti-Valentines day party last night. Watched old episode of Ghostbusters, played video games, ate snack food. They had a video game tournament for a game that most of us hadn't played before: Ultimate Muscle. Turned out to be a really fun game, and I came in first place, so I had my choice of two anime DVD's from a box they had. Ended up with the first two DVD's of Kiddy Grade. They also had some free stuff they were giving away because they were just going to throw it out, so I have four Astro Boy posters, the fourth volume of Saber Marionette J, some pins, and some stickers. All in all, I had fun, and it was definetly worth $3 to get in.

The rest of my weekend will be watching anime, playing The Sims 2, Civ IV, and Ultimate Muscle.

World of Warcraft. Maybe some EVE, maybe - it's enjoyable until I get the feeling I'm just making money to make more money to make more money, and I don't feel like there's enough I can really do with that money to make it worthwhile. Grouping is dangerous and joining a Corp just results in a bigger Corp constantly declaring war on you for the hell of it. Farming rats can be entertaining, but, even that wears thin.

Been enjoying Age of Empires III. Doesn't have the depth of Civ 4, but it plays a lot faster.

I just lost my Civ4 game :(. Three failed spy sabotages(each with a 57% chance of success) on the last round of the game to prevent the space ship victory, while my last piece was just finishing up. So frustrating.

Spent the whole game fighting back a tech backwards civ with an army four times the size everyone elses and against a peaceful Civ that was always one tech up( and eventually won). Still fun as hell, from turn 1 til the end.

Best game ever.

Had been playing TOCA Race Driver 3 on PC this week for a feature I was writing for work, but after I wrote the feature I've continued to play it - best game in the series. Also been playing some CoD2 on the 360, started the game on veteran now. It's a hard old slog though.

Meanwhile, review code for Full Auto for the 360 arrived here today. I had a mixed couple of hours with it at first. Impressed with the graphics compared to the demo but felt the game really lacked some decent presentation to hold the whole thing together. Had a terrible frame rate at first until I noticed in the box there was a note that said it should be played in 60 Hz mode (it's a PAL retail code) and that's made all the difference. Hardly any slowdown now and the game is really growing on me. non-work related extended first impressions here (http://www.cartmel-bar.co.uk/index.php/games/2006/02/04/full_auto_first_impressions), should you be interested.

Had to reinstall windows this week due to an annoying nagging problem - explorer.exe crashing all the time. Has had the bonus of solving one particular problem though. Since the reinstall my Xbox 360 can see the PC so I can stream pictures and music. It wouldn't connect before the reinstall, despite my PC seeing the console. I'd seen quite a few forum postings in different locations that said you can't mixed wired and wireless and get it to work. So I gave up. But my 360 is wired to the router, the PC is wireless, and it's working now.

Reinstalling all my FS2004 stuff was a real bitch though. :)
