1up (http://www.1up.com) and Les Affaires (http://www.lesaffaires.com) brings us notice that developer Funcom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funcom) is opening a new Development House in Montreal. Funcom is well known for their Age of Conan Series, a brief qoute from Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas said,

"In addition to strengthening our North American presence, the new studio will take advantage of the great incentive programs offered by the Quebec region, incentives that makes Montreal one of the most cost effective locations in the world for developing MMO games," Arne Aas continued. "This will in turn allow us to better balance our costs, making it possible for us to continue to expand our investments into the MMO segment."

Everytime I see an article mentioning Funcom they reference Age of Conan (not just this site, pretty much everyone).

Am I the only person who thinks Funcom and then immediately starts thinking of April Ryan and the rest of The Longest Journey cast? :(

I think Anarchy Online
Is the longest journey any good?

The Longest Journey is a great adventure game. It has some issues running on newer OS but if you are running XP it should run fine. I believe we have it for sale on Steam. I work for Funcom though so you might want an unbiased opinion :)

As for the other comment about AoC, it's our most recent game so of course marketing is going to mention it whenever possible.

The Longest Journey is one of the best adventure game franchises going around and has one of the best stories in games.

Probarbly the best mature adventure game of all time. (http://store.steampowered.com/app/6310/) I also think of Anarchy Online, seeing as I've played the game since launch (though don't have time anymore). I would love to see them upgrade that game and give it a huge expansion.
