Kurt Cobain is clearly one versatile singer... being a playable character in Guitar Hero 5 has allowed him to do some really awesome things like pretend to be Bon Jovi, rap like Flava Flav, and sing like David Bowie. Thanks GiantBomb (http://www.giantbomb.com/news/kurt-cobain-versatile-front-man/1669/).
Click the headline to see a hilariously terrible compilation.

Eh, the guy was a loser, who killed himself because he could live with the pains of sleeping on a mountain of money. Fuck him. He deserves this legacy.

Yeah sleeping on the money caused him pain.........
"Kurt had suffered from a rare illness for almost seven years, causing a chronic stomach pain of such an intensity that almost every day he considered killing himself. "

No, just sick of everyone idolizing someone who really wasn't all that talented to begin with.
Plus, suicide is ALWAYS the cowards way out.

I'd like to see behind the scenes footage during the mo-cap.

I think the quote you're trying to make is that suicide is always the easy way out.
And if you don't think Cobain was talented well...enjoy that opinion of yours. Lulz.

Me too - creepy as it is to have Cobain, they're finally getting to the point where it actually looks like there's a *performance* going on, not just a 4 hour jam session by sedated musicians.

I do not understand the allure of this stupid game. There's, what, 5 strings on the "guitar"?
Why not just take real guitar lessons?

These are objectively factual valuations. I am editing wikipedia right now to reflect the unquestionable veracity of your personal judgments.

No, I'm aware of the other quote. I stand by mine, though. Suicide is COWARDLY. Your rock hero was a COWARD.
And besides that, nothing nirvana did was really all that different from the myriad of other grunge bands going on at the same time. I'm not saying he was talentless ... just that he wasn't anything special.

You mean playing GH/RB doesn't teach us how to actually play the guitar?
To answer your question: Because people like the "game" aspect of music games? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there's probably a good number of people that enjoy GH/RB that ALSO can play the guitar and/or other instruments.
For instance: I don't play guitar, but I know how to read music and have played the alto and tenor saxophone at various points in my life.
It's wrong and all that, but I'm really impressed with the animation there. I haven't played since RB2, and it looks like a new gen version.

I'm sorry, I thought we play this GAME for entertainment, not to learn a skill.

And I love music games but this is just plain stupid, well that's what you get from a game that is made in a few months.

Kurt Cobain was the last real rockstar.
It is a shame to see him associated with this franchise on any level, much less doing all that idiotic crap.

The video looks like the unlive entertainment one would expect at a convention of Japanese necromancers.

Kurt Cobain was the last real rockstar.
I don't think musicians suddenly went sober and stopped screwing skanks when Kurt offed himself.
