An announcement from SouthPeak Interactive has been released stating that State of Emergency 2 for the PlayStation 2 has gone gold. The game is slated to be in stores on 2/14 in North America.

Man, I've never seen so many copies of a game on the pre-owned games shelf so soon after its release. But it's understandable. What a pile of trash that game was.

I might be wrong, but as far as I know Rockstar has nothing to do with this sequel, it was developed by Digital Concepts and published by Southpeak Interactive.

The last time I preordered a game it was SOE. Since then I have not even thought about preordering a game again. I was one of those people that returned this the SAME weekend I bought it. Lost a hardy 25 bucks out of that deal.

Man, apparently I am still really sour about this experience, so needless to say, even if this game turns out to be amazing, there is no way I will be playing it.

Hey, I got the first game. Granted, it sucked, but the entire time, I was thinking, "this game would be perfect with a zombie mod." Maybe they'll give it to us in this second iteration.

Oh, and I heard from a friend that you can drive vehicles in this one. I really don't care about this game at all, definately not enough to check and confirm it. But if so, it would be pretty much a shitty version of GTA in every way.
