Shadowgrounds English Demo

Shadowgrounds is an epic sci-fi game that blends addictive old school gameplay and modern technology into one big, nasty alien-battling carnage festival. The game is played from a top-down perspective that gives gamers a better view of the battlefield and allows tactical use of weapons - new tactics become useful as their arsenal is upgraded to even more destructive weapons.

Meridian has released an English demo for Finnish developer Frozenbyte's Shadowgrounds, allowing you to try out the first 2 missions of the game.

It would have been fun, but without co-op its gonna be another game that falls threw the cracks. I did read that it might get co-op added, but only up to 4 players on one computer. Guess I'll stick to alien swarm, but this game has potential.

Original or not, i bought the game just before xmas and haven't regretted it once. It's a very good game, especially if you like arcade shooters. HERE (http://www.shadowgroundsgame.com/en/screenshots.html) are some screenshots from the game, as you can see, it looks fantastic as well.

+ Runs great and looks gorgeous
+ Plays great too
+ Refreshingly good soundtrack
+ Cost only 30 euros, compared to 50-60 euros for most games. Yeah it's expensive here in Finland

- Took like 7-8 hours to finish (oh well, most games don't last any longer)
- Unfilled potential (co-op, multiplayer, level editor) :(
- A little repetitive
- At least one irritating bug for my rig that makes the game choppy as hell after playing for a while. Thankfully this can be avoided by jumping to windows and then back to the game. The unofficial patch (soon-to-be official) should fix it.

Sci-fi arcadeshooter. Can you think of a less appealing concept? I hope you guys at NA prove "them" wrong by buying this game like bread when it launches there :)
