Those sure do look pretty...

It looks like March is going to be a busy month for XBox 360 games.

Looks great, but am I the only one a little annoyed by these games coming out for current gen and next gen simultaneously? Are we supposed to want an Xbox 360 so we can play our Xbox games with improved visuals? Also, has this trend happened before? I really can't remember any NES games also being released on the SNES at the same time.

This is a first for cross generational ports. I think the reason behind this is the cost of these games. Why spend another $20mill restarting the game from scratch when you can spend $1 to $2 mill upgrading the textures and models. If the dev. team is skilled the updated game will look just good enough to be called next gen. We shouldn't see this for to much longer, once the devs. finish up their last gen games we will start seeing next gen games being built from the ground up.

I am so excited about this game I can hardly contain my self. If this game is half as fun as Crimson Skies I have a feeling I'm gonna lose my job and my girlfriend.

Not really. At the end of the 16-bit days there were plenty of SNES/PSX releases. Primal Rage, WWF Royal Rumble, and Mortal Kombat 3 come to mind. I'm sure there were more.

I completely forgot about Primal Rage but I don't remember MK 3 being on the SNES and I was never really in to WWF games. Considering these were arcade games first then ported from there I dont know if it could be considered the same.

Maybe the xbox version was almost complete and they decided to port it to the 360. Makes sense to me.
