did I just hear the sound of a sinking ship? i wish this game was better ever since I saw someone kick someone else off a bridge with a horse kick.

It's interesting that they're expanding...how did they put it?...horizontally?...instead of vertically (I guess). No level cap increase, no new PVP content, instead, more stuff to do from 20 onwards with a new race to play and some additional character abilities.
Too bad the game still plays like ass.

LOL thats pretty much my highlight as well. All went downhill after that.
I actually enjoyed the combat in the game a lot, made me pay attention more to the combos and I like gory effects. My biggest problem was the lack of decent and more importantly, uninteresting gear. I feel like Age of Conan would have been a fantastic single player game with less content and an and end you could reach in 30 hours.

Sorry, disagree wholeheartedly. Still playing Conan, and still having a blast. The 1.05 patch brought major changes to the class balancing, and Funcom has proven that they do listen to customer feedback. If you're the kind of player who just wants to skyrocket to 80 in 3 days and then complain that there's no content, then yeah, I can see how AoC wouldn't fill that void.
I recently went back and tried to play WoW again with some friends, and it just made me miss AoC . Having played AoC since launch, WoW looks and feels like I'm playing a kids game, with kids.
I do agree that in comparison the gear could seem uninsteresting, aesthetically, but having delved into the Conan lore and novels outside of AoC, I can really appreciate the attention to detail that was taken by Funcom to make R.E. Howard's fantasy world come alive.
Ok, I'll stop gushing now. *shrug* To each his own.

Someone has to go down with the ship. Might as well be you. :P
Don't worry I've booked passage on a sinking boat myself in aionOnline. But at least it looks pretty! It's going to hit rock bottom by the end of the year but for those 3 or so months I'll be distracted at least for a little while longer. The waiting for diablo 3 has and is a long long road.
Recently I had complained about the imbalance between casters and melee. However, this mini patches that they have been putting out, where they sort of rebuild a particular class... well, they just so happen to rebuild the Barbarian class and they made it oh so sexy! It's awesome!!! I am back in love with my class again as I can now shove my weapons down their throats...
At any rate, after looking at this website for the expansion and seeing all the new stuff coming... I am very excited!!!
I do wish though that they would make mention of something new and exciting for PvPers... I don't understand why they didn't mention anything???
The one thing that is going to be bad ass about this new expansion is walking into new territories and while you quest, the world PvP that will ensue... it's going to rock!

I tried AoC again with the "Come back to Hyboria" promotion.
As many good things as there are now in the game I'll never notice them because every time I look at my characters I get bored. Sure the stats may upgrade, but my character look never seems to change. No matter how many different skirts on my Priest of Mitra (kilts, whatever) I upgraded or tried on the texture hasn't changed for for 15 levels. Can a brother get some damn pants in Hyboria?
Yawn.

From the Eurogamer piece (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/age-of-conan-rise-of-the-godslayer-preview?page=1):
In fact, the expansion has a resolute focus on PvE questing and dungeons (of which we only know about one, a two-to-three-hour group instance called Pillars of Heaven, a temple colonised by bandits). There will be no new PvP content in Rise of the Godslayer at all. "That will come through live content updates rather than expansion content," Morrisson confirms. "We want new PvP content and any game types we might add to be available to everyone, not just the expansion players, so most of the new PvP additions coming are part of the usual live update cycles."
Thanks revelation! I actually asked the question about PvP in the Funcom AoC forums and I got the same type of reply... good to know! How selfless an act for Funcom to make sure that all PvP content will be available to even those who don't jump on the expansion when it first comes out...
However, I still would like to hear some details about the new PvP content!?!?
