Hahahaha! Typical movie going public FTW!

Movies are just a fad anyways... Charles Chaplin said so! ;)

I used to be a pretty dedicated movie goer. I don't mind giving the movie theaters $30 (2 tickets + snacks) for my entertainment, but lately where is the entertainment???

I can take a shit and wipe my ass with $30 and have more joy out of that. Wake the fuck up Holywood and release some decent movies.

Did anyone see Uwe Boll criticizing people who don't like his movie on SpikeTVs gaming show? I just sat down to watch an episode, and they happened to interview Boll. My god, what a buffoon.

Holy flaming lion heads. Annapolis was a great movie and it was completely raped over the coals.

Eh, glad I didn't bet on it.

The Mars Rover IMAX movie opened recently too, and was pretty damn good, probably the best IMAX movie I've seen.

It sadens me that Big Momma's House 2 got made, but much worse, it's going to make far more money than Serenity :(. I'm gonna go cry a little bit.

Even I'm shocked at this week's numbers. I figured Underworld would've eaten Big Momma's fat ass like a tic tac. Ah well, it's not like anyone ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.

How about a Big Momma trilogy, Hollywood?

Over the weekend I began watching the Firefly series, and I think I am in love. I was never a fan of Buffy or Angel (too odd), but Firefly is a totally different monster. The setting is awesome (wild west in space), the characters are intricately and well developed (The Shepard and Imora(sp?))...I have 4 episodes left to go then I will watch the movie, which I am hoping is just as good. Damn you Fox for canning all the good shows: Firefly, Family Guy, Futurama, Arrested Development...Who runs that comapny? Monkeys?!

I'm glad Brokeback is still up there.

It makes me a bit happier for the state of the world.

It's really doing well against the odds.

I very rarely went to the movie theater, but now that I have a 42" HD plasma and a DVR, I really have no reason to go at all. I just think HD movies look better on my screen than what I'll see at the theater.

Did anyone see A New World (http://www.thenewworldmovie.com/)? It looks really good. Its from the same director as A Thin Red Line. I wasn't able to get out and see it this weekend.

I went to see the Matador on Sunday. Not the greatest movie ever, but it made me laugh often enough to recommend it as a light movie.

I find that comment insulting to the intelligence of monkeys.

I just want to say that Underworld:Evolution was really really boring.

But damn that woman has a nice butt. That's the only reason to see it.

The new world looks pretty awful to me, but maybe it's just not my kind of movie.

Then again, whose kind of movie is this? Score: 06% (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10005015-big_mommas_house_2/)

I seen underworld 2 and came away impressed. I believe I spent $20 for something decent this time around. On a side note I rented Serenity this weekend and was not too impressed. Some nice action scenes, campy humor, and ok story, but nothing like the hype I read around here. Still a good fun movie.

How is The Matador?
Unexpectedly excellent! Very funny and it's great to see Brosnan not in smarmy Bond mode.
