For your Friday viewing pleasure, Codemasters sends along a new 'Vehicles' video for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

The ‘Vehicles’ video showcases a selection of the exhilarating vehicles which feature in Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, including the Z10 Attack Helicopter which unleashes hell from the sky, the rapid response FAV Fast Attack Vehicle and Type-95 Self Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun. Each vehicle is authentically recreated, complete with accurate weapon systems, and the extensive range of hardware demonstrates the diversity and devastating fire-power that contemporary fighting forces deploy into a combat zone.

I'm guessing because there is no Battlefield 2 for console systems.

This trailer makes it seem like there is going to be lots of vehicle usage, but from other interviews the devs said you just can't commandeer any vehicle lying around. They've really been up-playing the whole "controlling a squad" mechanic and shooting grenades from the back of a jeep doesn't seem to lend itself to squad leadership. I think there will be less vehicle usage than this trailer seems to imply.

Wow, that was actually really pretty. I didn't think it was going to look that good. The scene with the hood shot was great, like Crysis pretty.

I think I might have to buy this now, I've got no problems with a more realistic Battlefield clone.

Flashpoint was all about realism. I dislike how they altered things.

Well if you want a new real flashpoint game get ArmA II. I'm not sure what to think of this, I hope there will be a demo.
