I love how objects are anti-aliased but the shadows of said objects are jagged

Awwww where's the bull fighting?
I know I'D buy a bull fighting sim, if only to see the facial animation upon being gored up the bum.

Its called hardware fucking shadow mapping, you can blame nvidia, it is the lamest method to render blurry shadows ever created...
Even the beta version of bf2 MC on the 360 uses the same type of shadowing and theyre HORRIBLY blocky....something which you definately shouldnt see on a fucking console...
/end rant

I wonder when rock/mountain models will stop being blocky. My guess is never.

Lokks like "BF2 MC on the 360"'s dev team has fixed that issue.

It's not just on the island, but the first thing that popped to mind when I saw this batch was Far Cry.

I wonder when we're going to be seeing waves again in video games. They stopped with bump/normal mapping.

I'm pretty sure the quality can be improved. Then it's just slower like with everything else.

First of all you cant really tell untill you see it in motion, and secondly i still see some of it in pic 1 : the steering/handle/whatever and the gun's shadow

and pic 2 doesnt show much.....why did you post that one anyway? O_O

Looks like a cheap Far Cry. Then again I enjoyed Far Cry more than I have any "recent" shooter, so I might check this one out. The name is totally lame though...

Don't mistake this for Far Cry, alienchild. If you look at some of the shots, you'll see that the 'jungle' is actually the old 'rock walls' trick, with lots of foliage. So...you get pretty backgrounds, backgrounds that look like you can explore them, but the same old hallway-based gameplay. The open level design was what made Far Cry.

Reminds me that Perfect Dark Zero pulled the same trick. Of course, that had the added frustration that enemies could see you perfectly through the foliage.

And it's hard to avoid comparisons with Far Cry when the first shot shows:
1)Tropical Water
2)A black inflatable raft that's almost identical to Far Cry's
3)Ok, so it's not nearly as pretty. But 1 and 2 still count.

Unfortunately "Cheap" in this quote does not actually refer to the price. No doubt it'll debut at $50 like all other turds lately.

It would be nice if some committee made up of gamers actually set the price for games based on quality and content. It would make devs work harder! ;)
