Yesterday Shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/59892) reported that Dragon Age: Origins might be delayed, citing release date changes at GameFly and Newegg. The story was later updated with word from BioWare that it is "still targeting an October 20 release date" for the multiplatform RPG. Fast forward to later in the day when a BioWare rep told IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/101/1012182p1.html) the following:

"Dragon Age Origins will be released on November 3rd in North America and November 6th in Europe for Xbox 360 and PC. The Playstation 3 version will follow later in November," the BioWare rep said.

I don't mindl if it comes out 11-3. I think Borderlands comes out on 10-20 anyway now I won't have to choose what to play that day.

I mind because it's one of the only single player games I've been looking forward to for a while. But, the third is my birthday, so I guess it's not so bad.

What's the verdict on the beta so far, has anyone here played it? This game has been delayed so many times, it went off my radar. I'm semi interested now though.

Exactly my thinking. Borderlands > Dragon Age right now. I want to play them both with my wife.

Exactly my thinking. Borderlands > Dragon Age right now. I want to play them both with my wife. The release of Borderlands does soften the blow of this delay.

I dunno about this whole Borderlands > DA stuff. Don't get me wrong, because I'm looking forward to Borderlands as much as the next guy, but in my mind there's no way DA could be that much worse. It's going to be a totally different type of game and Bioware's story-telling ability is legendary, whereas I've got this feeling that Borderlands will be a little "shallow" in that department.

I'd have to say we're all lucky that two monsters of a game are coming out so close to eachother!
