If you wanna get your hands on Prototype and were unsure about buying it at $50, from now until the 13th of this month, you can pick it up for $10 off... ($40) on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/10150/).

You are the Prototype, Alex Mercer, a man without memory armed with amazing shape-shifting abilities, hunting your way to the heart of the conspiracy which created you; making those responsible pay.

* Fast & Deadly Shape-Shifting Combat: Reconfigure your body to the situation at hand. From Claws to Blades to Hammers to Whips, choose the right weapon for the situation. Change to a shield or armor for defense, or use advanced sensory powers (thermal vision, infected vision) to track your enemies
* Over-the-Top Locomotion & Agility: Seamlessly and fluidly bound from building to building, run up walls, bounce off cars and everything in your path. Adaptive parkour lets you move freely through the open-world environments of New York City.
* Unique Disguising Abilities: Consume anyone at anytime, take on their appearances and assume their memories and special abilities.
* Deep, Conspiracy-Driven Storyline: Wake up with no memory of the past...just mysterious powers and a link to a town in Idaho. Delve into the mysteries of your origin, the true nature of your power and your part in a conspiracy 40 years in the making.

I plan to buy this at some point, but still haven't decided if I should get the PC or the 360 version.

Has anyone played both and which do you think is worth my money? I have a DualCore 2.8, 8800GT, 4GB ram machine.

I wouldn't buy it at that price if only because it will get cheaper. You can read my review here. (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88574)

Its a good game, but I will wait till the price drops more before I get it. $40 is still too pricey.

It's a game that is truly mediocre. There are a lot of really good things about it, and a lot of really bad things about it. Definitely not a full price buy.

PopOp poll here (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90328). The consensus is that it is pretty good, but not as good as the "similar" PS3-exclusive inFamous (if you care about that).

20% off is not nearly enough to entice me to purchase this game.

Hmmmph, I had a lot of fun with this game. I know the city and landscape could've varied better and the advertising really looked out of sorts just randomly splattered all over the place (Seriously, why would any company advertise on the side of a building no one can hardly see @ 40 stories up?) but the real truth is it was just plain 'ole fun to glide around the city and bust people's asses. Right?

I've actually been really enjoying the game since i grabbed it from GoGamer. Sure, the graphics get a bit repetitive, but all the movesets are varied and the memories system is really cool.

Did we play the same game? I highly enjoyed this having just finished the final boss and I'm thinking a second play through is in order. Eh, to each his own...
