The latest update for CD Projekt RED's popular role-playing game, The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut, has been released on Steam. Those of you who do not have the game can grab it on sale (http://store.steampowered.com/news/2713/) at 30% off ($27.99) until August 12th.

Experience the PC RPG of the Year (PC Gamer, GameSpy, IGN) as the developers intended in The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut (http://store.steampowered.com/app/20900/), with mature content not previously available to North American gamers.

Steam customers who already own The Witcher: Enhanced Edition can upgrade their version for free by visiting the Upgrade DLC page (http://store.steampowered.com/app/20902/).

The only thing left is too upgrade it too the witcher to 1.5 which has added content. Hopefully that will be soon since the directors cut was released.

Fantastic RPG. A meaningful, branching adult storyline with real decisions and consequences. Tactical combat with lots of quests and a little bit of sex. Or a lot. If your a man-whore (which I was, slept with everyone I could :) )

Still sad about the canceled Witcher on consoles. I await my copy of Witcher II.

Looking at the description, it is 1.5.I just checked (you can see the version number in the task bar when you alt-tab out of the game). The current version on Steam is 1.4.5.1304.

I regret buying this from ATARI store.

TO this day I could't put up with the process need to install it again after hiting the 3 install limit.

I had problems with my PC which led to multiple formats, than I simply gave up playing it.

If anyone ever though of using the atari store digital download service, dont. It is a piece of shit.

It is SO bad I'd buy this AGAIN before putting up with Atari's service

No need. The Australian witcher is the Director's Cut by default. We didn't have any censorship in our version.

That said I don't know if The Witcher on Steam for Australian's is uncensored but I can confirm the retail versions were.

Is it actually available on Steam in Australia at all? Its not here in Asia AFAICT.
