In Crashday your task is to scrap your vehicle with breathtaking stunts or to wreck cars in aggressive street races, showing your opponents that they made a fatal mistake in choosing you as their enemy.
Crashday puts you in the world of stunts, dents and adrenaline: whether you prefer to smash your vehicle into pieces with breath-taking stunts or better still prefer to race against your enemies in on custom highspeed race tracks - maybe you also just want to show your fellow man what a serious head-on collision can be like!?
Atari has released a demo for Crashday featuring 2 events (Stunt and Wrecking), playable online and over LAN, but has a 50 launch limit on it.

Heh, Burnout... This game has been in the making since 2001 (at least).
The demo was quite OK, nothing really great. I'd rather play TrackMania and FlatOut.

I dunno; lots of particle effects, but not necessarily lots of actual damage. It sure looks pretty and runs like buttuh. But I'm not sure how long it could hold my attention.
The stunt portion, however, is just plain awful. Cars are not skateboards and once you're in the air, you shouldn't be able to controll how they roll and spin.

So I take it you disapprove of the Burnout series "aftertouch" feature that first appeared in the 3rd title?
I dunno... it's certainly not realistic, but does it make for better gameplay? In Burnout, I certainly thought it did.

It's not so much about realism as it is about fun. Apparently some people, like our other "friend", fail to realize that.
When I want to play a "realistic" game, I go back to Forza Motorsports and Gran Turismo 3.

-TNC-I won't go as far to presume that your other "friend" refers to me, however, there is a certain amount of fantasy that I am willing to allow. Realism is not on the forefront of my mind when it comes to racing or any other game for that matter (unless that is the stated purpose of the game). However, I personally am not willing to accept that you can control the spin/yaw/turn of a flying car in midair when the rest of the game is rendered so (photo)realistically.
Perhaps if the cars were cell-shaded, I'd feel better about it.

Is there any possibility that you'd make a comment without passing judgment on someone else in the future, TNC?

yeah, that did seem unnecessarily hostile TNC.
it's just a legitimate observation/complaint.
i'm not sure if that makes him your enemy
