Just got word that the Full Auto Demo is available to download via Live 360.

Would you like to know more? (http://www.segalabs.com)

Anyone check it out yet? Is it the same one as the OXM demo?

Edit - Thanks to grifter_66 for submitting the same news.

I haven't tried the OXM demo, but this seemed very chaotic. I'm not sure if I like it or not. At least Burnout, while over the top had some semblence of order. The unwreck feature seems quite cool, but I found myself just running into the same gunfire/mines 2/3 times after using it.

I played the OXM demo and it was old code (TGS version?) so I don't understand why they would release the same demo for Live (maybe lack of time to create a new demo). Anyway it's fun but the framerate takes a dip when you have crap loads of explosions on the screen.

Not that impressed, I will rent the final to be sure but right now, not buying. Slowdown, the aiming sucked, it was too chaotic and the graphics were merely decent. It could have been an old build but save your money and wait for the reviews.

There are a few things I did not like in the demo. The handling of the cars seems like they are just hovering over the road, needs more of a solid feel, it also made the racing very easy. I don't like that if you hit the green arrows that point what direction you need to turn you just bounce off instead of wrecking or causing damage even though the other walls do damage you. If the cars in the demo are any indication there are balance issues between the cars, with the red car I kicked ass and came in first easily with 170k+ damage several times. Using the brown car I got owned repeatedly and wasn't able to kill as many rivals due to it's weak front weapon, I also came in 5th.

That said I had a lot of fun with it, the unwreck feature is pretty sweet. I can see this being awesome in multiplayer but the single player will probably get old fast. I was thinking about buying but it's a rental only now for me.

Yep, demo not impressive. The screenshots, website and hype leading up to this game were more fun.

Definately a wait and see/rental type situation.

I actually think the demo kind of sucks. If someone's going to make an automobile combat game then I'd much, much rather see a successor to Interstate 76 (I don't even want to consider Interstate 82 as part of the series). While it's definitely more of arcade type of game the physics were so lax it bothered me, and I'm not a fan of realistic racing games at all. The whole thing just isn't executed very well and I definitely won't be picking up the title when it comes out.
