Valve Software has released (http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=news&id=504) a new Day of Defeat: Source map, dod_kalt.

Played it tonight. Good map...didnt have the huge choke point that several of the other maps suffer from.

Good use of HDR...

Bleh. I tried it and I doubt Ill play DoD again. Ive never liked it, I hate how everything feels like youre covered in lard and sliding around.

We need more CSS maps...

I've heard many descriptions of DoD before but never one like this.

If anything DoD is the opposite...sometimes the characters feel a bit sticky and not nearly as maneuverable as older FPS like Quake, etc.

Well I guess its just me, how about this. It seems like you just move around a bit too fast. I know it could be server settings but if it is then 80% of servers have adjusted in this way.

I remember reading that CSS was a "faithful remake" of CS 1.6. After playing for half an hour, I was... in shock. Rarely are games of the same series so completely opposite in feel.
