I dont see why no one else feels that its odd how a new $400 console has turned into a cheap arcade game...

But it has only been two months since release... ..I mean, what else can we expect after only two months? </sarcasm>

That being said... ..I am off to download the Full Auto demo. :D

Demos are free. I dont' think you even need xbox live gold. You just need the silver package. All xbox live arcade games are required to have a free trial download.

Marble blast is a blast to play! Hah, see what I did there? Sadly the Full Auto demo is taking forever to download.

I didn't see anyone complaining when Nintendo announced that the Revolution would do the same thing or complaining when Nintendo sold old NES carts for $30.00 a pop on the GBA.

People like retro games and these are upgraded graphically and they are really reasonably priced.

They should add Tribes 1 to Xbox Live! Arcade. :)

UH HUH! They did too.

I agree 100%.

I know this is nitpicking (sp?) but I would like the ability to download something while I am also playing something else. I was sacrastic above but I really do like Live Arcade. I just don't want my 360 to become nothing more than a glorified mame machine. If Nintendo can pull off the same thing with the Revolution and get people to buy into it, it is going to be a very strange world for Sony. They will be smacking themselves upside the head wondering why they didn't come up with a micro pay service. Of course, they did have that (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8961&highlight=sony+online) poll.

They should add Tribes 1 to Xbox Live! Arcade.

If they add Tribes 1 to Live Arcade I will never complain about the 360 again. Ever.

I think the retro-arcade emphasis fits perfectly with MS's new strategy to capitalize on the untapped female market. Think about it, Xbox live being all about developing community, now simple, yet addictive games that are reasonably priced that don't involve killing things... I almost don't want to give microsoft the credit.

How much is Ultra improved over the original Live Marble Blast? I didn't find that very enjoyable.

I don't think you have to worry about that, there are a bunch of cool 360 games coming out this year, it is just that the system seems like it is off to a slow start since the big Holiday season is over now.

Wait till we see cool titles like the next Splinter Cell, UT 2007, Gears of War, Ghost Recon, etc. etc.

And by Christmas there should also be a couple of dozen more classic arcade titles up on Live plus who knows what else will be available in the other categories.

Got marble blast and will check it out soon. A bit underwhelmed by the Full Auto demo. Maybe it just doesn't show off enough of the games features and the fact that it dumps you to the xbox panel when you finish doesn't help.

I too tried the original Marble Blast and was quite unimpressed, But this version seems much better somehow. There seem to be a lot more interesting powerups to add unique puzzle elements. From the small amount that the demo showed me, I am actually tempted to buy this.

One of the best "Arcade" games on the PC, EVER.

Suicidal you don't know what your talking about obviously.

Xbox Live Arcade is another feature of the Xbox 360.A bloody good one at that.

I'm going to be downloading this and the Full Auto demo.

Yep, I'll second/third/fourth that. If it was negatively affecting development of the top tier titles their would be a reason to complain, but addictive little games are just the kind of thing to tide you over between the big releases.

I'm digging marble blast, the single player is pretty fun but the multiplayer is insane, definately worth the 10 or so bucks IMO.

Personally, I'd like to know where Rare's back catalog is. Online co-op Battletoads? RC Pro-Am multiplayer?

Downloaded the demo, purchased the full version, after that it has been multi-player online for me. This is a real gem.

And I agree with the other guy these little games are just the ticket to hold you over in-between the big releases.

That's actually a pretty damn good idea. It would be nice if they offered a few "full-fledged" games over the Arcade...plus, Tribes is always good fun.

Perhaps we'll see more things like that when Worms finally makes its way into the Arcade.

I'm number 8 on one of the levels in the leaderboards :D.

Im' in total agreement with bap on shareware. shareware titles will flourish just because of the nature of the Live marketplace. I almost feel like a fool because I'm using a $400 gaming monster to play Live arcade titles, almost exclusively. :( But I'm having a blast, and that's what matters most.

It's not really foolish, considering that "more worthy" games will be arriving within the next few months. Besides, games like Marble Blast make it all worth it.
It feels like a cross between Super Monkey Ball and Marble Madness...which isn't a bad thing at all. I got the trial...and within 10 minutes, I had already purchased the full game.
It's completely worth it.

You can count me into the "tried for 10 minutes then purchased the full game" club.

There's actually a surprising amount of depth to it, and so far the funnest part has been trying to figure alternate ways of beating each stage. There's already some crazy fast times up there and I can actually count myself as one of them as I managed to get 7th (!?!) on the leaderboards for level 4. Eat it Inevitable Winter! :D

Tip: There's an easter egg in the first level, to the left of the end (if your looking from the start) on a platform that sticks out of the level, you can actually see it well from the level select screen (the platform, without the egg obviously). The 5 sweet, sweet gamer point are my gift!

I would buy it, if I had the marketpoints, so I'll probably buy it tonight. But only because I miss Kula World.
