Worthplaying (http://www.worthplaying.com/) has posted word (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=31391&mode=thread&order=0) from Konami that The Gradius Collection is being released in the Spring of 2006.

The Gradius Collection is a compilation of five beloved Gradius titles in one unique game package. Spanning more than 20 years of exciting releases, the collection includes Gradius, Gradius II, Gradius III, Gradius IV, and the never-before-released in the United States, Gradius Gaiden.
Guess I am behind on things, I've only seen and played the original Gradius.

Gradius rocks.

Gradius (NES) and Gradius 3 (SNES) were two of my favorite games!

Gradius 5 was awesome....what...the PSP can't handle the power of the big V?

A few months ago I debated on selling my PSP. At that time someone informed of this, so I reconsidered.

Knowing what I know now, I would still buy the PSP just for this game. Totally worth $300.

I CAN'T WAIT.

Gradius Gaiden is really good. I think it's even better than V.

I"ve never played any Gradius games, how are they different from normal shooters?

I'm a huge fan of scrolling shooters, but I've never been big on Gradius. I don't know why. I'll buy the compilation for several reasons including trying to prove myself wrong, but more importantly I'll be voting with my purchase. More sales of shmups equals more shmups.
