Over on Gaming Whore (http://www.gamingwhore.com/), I have a Q&A with Mark Jordan, the designer/creator of Armada Online (http://www.armada-online.com/phpbb2/index.php). AO is a online-only sequel to the Dreamcast classic, Armada. Here's a snippet:
MJ: The game universe is vast. You can relate to the universe from a starmap. You can click on an X,Y coordinate and warp to that location. Most locations you warp to are infinite in size once you arrive. You can chart out areas of interest that appeal to you. There are also 12 areas that are more compact and tend to have tighter strategic goals. When you land on a planet, it is a finite area to explore.
You can read the entire article over at Gaming Whore (http://www.gamingwhore.com/item/2006/1/24/armada-online-q-a), and I hope you enjoy it.
