This was a guaranteed purchased for me so I queued it up first thing this morning. I can only hope they'll make a good port for the PC as well. I'd like to have a good PC version since I've been enjoying SF4 on PC so much.

I DLed it this morning. It's a good game, but not the best of the vs. series, IMO. I thought both Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and Marvel vs. Street Fighter were better. That's not to poopoo this release, however. It's a welcome addition to my XBLA library. I've owned the Dreamcast version forever. It's nice to see it get some love this long after the fact.

In order of preference of what I want to see next from Capcom's classic lineup on XBL and PSN:

1.) Capcom vs. SNK 2 (PLEASE!!!!)
2.) Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
3.) Marvel vs. Street Fighter (Any opportunity to play Cap in a video game...)
4.) Marvel Superheroes
5.) X-Men: Children Of The Atom (the Saturn version is practically unplayably hard)
6.) Marvel vs. Capcom (low on my list because we just got MvC 2, but for Capcom fighters, 6 buttons > 4 buttons)
7.) X-Men vs. Street Fighter

I'd love to see an Alpha compilation show up on XBL too. I have the collection for PS2 and I also have all of my old PS1, Saturn and DC versions, but being able to play online with others would be killer.

I own a Saturn, lost my copy of it when I moved and have been sad ever since. I always found Magneto to be pretty easy, as he patterns a lot and is susceptible to low attacks during a number of his specials. Wolverine, Iceman, and Cyclops were overpowerd against Magneto IMHO.

What no love for Darkstalkers?

What no love for Darkstalkers?

Darkstalkers wouldn’t be at the top of my list simply because that series didn’t grip me like some of the others. Of course, that didn’t stop me from buying Darkstalkers 3 for the PS1, Night Warriors and Darkstalkers 3 (import) for Saturn, Darkstalkers 3 collection (import) for Dreamcast and Darkstalkers 1-3 collection for PS2 (import). Probably because I’ve bought all those other versions and never really played them that much, I don’t really ‘need’ for Capcom to release Darkstalkers for XBL and PSN.

And of course, having said all that, if they release it for XBL/PSN…I’ll probably buy it. And my wife wonders why she’s not allowed to buy anything:/

But bringing up Darkstalkers made me think of some other Capcom games I’d love to see for XBL/PSN. Not all of them are fighters:

Rival Schools
Project Justice
Tech Romancer (not a great game, but stupid fun)
Cannon Spike
Dungeons And Dragons Collection
Power Stone Collection
Aliens vs. Predator
Final Fight trilogy (unlikely since 2 and 3 were SNES titles, but still…think of it....remastered versions of these games with co-op online….WIN)
Knights Of The Round (remastered, natch)

And while I’m asking for things Capcom will never give me, here are a couple more requests for older games that could benefit from a remixed/rebuilt version to make them respectable/playable:

Street Fighter-the original Street Fighter game was ass and not in the good way. I think the original game in the franchise deserves a rework. Of course, Capcom would have to create a whole new game because you can’t polish this turd, and I don’t think Capcom has the time to go back and fix this. Maybe the boys behind SSFIITHD Remix can work on this one.

Final Fight Revenge-I own the Saturn version (which I hear goes for big bucks these days) and it's awful. But the Final Fight cast has always intrigued me and that's why, despite what a steaming pile of cowpatties this game is, I still smile when I think of it and get the occasional itch to play now and again. The Final Fight cast is a quirky, classic arcade style group of personalities and they’re distinct enough from one another that a fighting game centered around them would work for me. They have that same eclectic mix that I feel in SF II, Fatal Fury Special and Art Of Fighting 2. And for good measure, I’d throw in Maki and Carlos from Final Fight 2 and Lucia and Dane from Final Fight 3. You could even throw in Kyle from FF Streetwise as a hidden skin for Cody (although Capcom probably isn't touching Streetwise with Bionic Commando's arm at full extension.)

Plus, it needs to be said: non-hamburglar Cody finishing off enemies like Kenshiro from Fist Of The Northstar owns the SFA 3 version any day. And nothing would beat zombie Belger doing the Thriller dance (which he actually does in the Saturn version) as the credits roll.
