You may have heard that UFC 2009 Undisputed sold like hot cakes. It was a slightly unexpected sell out in the UK as an example. THQ have revealed that the title has shipped 2.9 million copies since release and outlines plans to move the game into a yearly model, which was entirely expected, but also to make handheld and Wii versions.
"Over time, we plan to build our UFC franchise by expanding international sales and by developing games on new platforms, such as handhelds and Nintendo Wii," Farrell said.
Farrell did not specify when the series would debut on those new platforms, but his confirmation came after discussion of THQ's plans to annualize the franchise. The executive didn't get into details about next year's game, other than to say that it would feature new gameplay modes and features.

The Wii version is waiting to be a disaster but I'd buy the 360 and PSP version every year if they keep up the quality.
