DC has some good books and the Marvel hardcore will probably have a few things to get excited about. Bit of an average week in all.

Superman #690
Action Comics has been doing alright without Supes and has gathered up some pretty good reviews. Superman is the non-Supes-Supes book that is doing it for me though. There's just loads going on at once to deliver a deep story. In this issue Steel faces off against an old foe, the media continues to lash out against Mon-El and future heroes must stop him from ever meeting the Green Lantern Sodam Yat, also known as Ion. Great stuff.
Last Days of Animal Man #3
Gerry Conway's six issue Animal Man series is a real joy to read. It just has those classic traits that you look for in a modern book dealing with an older character. Buddy Baker continues to have problems with his powers and the League of Titans have plenty to say on the matter. Brilliantly bright art - get this if you just want to sit down and smile for a while.
Detective Comics #855
Batwoman is a very interesting character and it'll be great to see how she interacts with the rest of the Bat-family once that all happens. This issue sounds great as our hero encounters a wild hallucination that suggests that the lives of Gotham's men and women may well be in danger. Fantastic cover and the unique art style - good stuff.
Secret Warriors #6
After the last issue of Thunderbolts the whole Dark Reign thing started to become interested. Those revelations guarantee that this remains a relevant book and one worth buying. The cover art is really weird but the internal stuff is fantastic and there's a decent story to boot. This issue closes off the first arc of the story and promises some twists and turns.
