GameSpot has received confirmation (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6213803.html) from 2K Games on the launch dates for Gearbox Software's highly anticipated role-playing shooter, Borderlands.

At last month's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Gearbox Software revealed that its eagerly anticipated "role-playing shooter" Borderlands would ship in October. Now, with retail lines being drawn in the holiday-quarter sand, 2K Games has locked down the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 title's exact launch date: October 20 in North America, and October 23 in the UK, mainland Europe, Australia, and other territories.

Ugh..isn't that the same launch date as Dragon Age?? Not sure if DA is a solid date or not, but if it is, that'll be some stiff competition going in to that week.

At my age, I'll be lucky if anyone will give me anything to support my gaming habit for my birthday. Not to say I'm old, but once your out of the house the presents really start to lack.

My birthday is on Oct. 20th and I'll be lucky if I'm able to buy Dragon Age on my own let alone get it as a gift. Being almost 40 (OMG I'm almost 40!), the presents on birthdays dried up a long time ago....

I just looked at some of the recent gameplay videos. Why in the world did they add cellshading to the game??? It looks so much worse now.

What are you smoking? The original trailer for this title was ultra generic. It was the Sci Fi version of EverQuest II. Snooze.

Now it has a real art style.

Lets see...

Uncharted 2 beats Brutal Legend.

Borderlands beats Dragon 'Generic Fantasy Game' Age, but Dragon Age will sell better.

Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare trumps them all.

It's rare a game captures my attention more and more so close to release, normally I finally see gameplay and after all the hype, it's thrown into the forgettable plie.
