The site ds-x2 (http://ds-x2.com/) has some screenshots (http://ds-x2.com/images/news/jj984jj/tot16hm.jpg) of Tales of the Tempest, the DS incarnation of the popular "Tales of" series from Namco. The game will use 3D environments and the "linear motion battle" system the series is known for.

We'll see. Nearly every DS RPG so far has been exciting looking at first, but ultimately a let down. I mean, how does anyone screw up a new Lunar game?

Nearly every? Don't you mean only Lunar? I don't know how they fucked it up, but there are a lot of upcoming RPGs that look pretty pimp. But, if the new mana game isn't multiplayer, I shall be peeved.

I'm currently an hour or more into Tales of Symphonia and realized how much I loved the Tales games. This is a good thing; more DS love is always a good thing.

Also, the GBA port of Tales of Phantasia is supposed to be released in the US in march. It will be the first official english version of the game.
I wonder if there'll be any sort of bonus for owning both, like with Castlevania. That would be pretty nifty.

I loved Tales of Destiny. Don't know how you guys like Tales of Symphonia though...I thought the story sucked and the cut scenes made me want to claw my brain out. Sweet battle system though.

If you haven't tried the Chronicles of Narnia (http://www.gamefly.com/products/detail.asp?pid=114080&fcTrack=Search?-?Popularity) game for the DS, you should give it a shot. I found it at Toys R Us for $24 on sale for $20. It plas a lot like Diablo or the LOTR GBA games with a full party of 4. Slower paced than most but much better than Lunar and addictively fun.
