The delay train keeps on rolling, this time the passenger is none other than sexy librarian Bayonetta and her wacked out hair antics. Instead of coming out this holiday as anticipated, Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/5317074/bayonetta-joins-ranks-of-delayed-games)'s got word it has been pushed to January 2010 for the US of A, but in Japan, it'll still come in Octobers.

"Bayonetta is an extremely important new IP for SEGA and adds a new level of depth to our growing portfolio. As a result of market analysis we have taken a Publishing decision that January 2010 is the optimum release time in the Western Markets to maximize this exciting new title's potential," said Mike Hayes, President and COO for SEGA West.

...and the wallet breathes a bit more...

I'm okay with all these delays because my wallet was SCREAMING: NO! NO! NO! NO!

Yeaaaaaaaaah, zero interest whatsoever in this game. Maybe they'll make some good use out of the delay time and turn it into something worthwhile.

Everytime I see shots from this game, I can't help but think of Bullet Witch. And that's not a good thing. Granted, I'm sure this game will be better than BW; but I still wonder what it's going to do different from any of the other GoW-alikes out there.

I mean, other than the protagonist having that hot "Sarah Palin meets The Baroness" look going for her.

So games are getting spread out so they don't all arrive in November/December burying the A+ games in a deluge of AAA+ games. Sounds like a good idea to me.. you know the same idea we consumers have been asking for, for years...

Actually I think we've been asking for the opposite. Spread out the AAA titles. I don't know about you but my wallet can't take another November '08 (Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, CoD: WaW, Fable 2, etc.)
