According to the KoF XII facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/kingoffighters12?v=feed&story_fbid=99784282466) the game will be hitting North American shelves on July 28th, 2009.

For anyone who is interested, North America is getting the game 2 days before Japan.

it's a shame that the early reviews look pretty dismal, especially compared to SF4 and blazblue...

If KOF turns out well, I'll look into it, but I doubt it's going to keep me as entertained as Blazblue. But you never know.
