Surely you mean the anti-gaming gun collector and not Penn, right?

Is that kid playing a PS3 on a little CRT TV?

Nice episode, the only thing that annoys me is the use of a 9 year old kid to try to make a point. I think it wasn't necessary.

Thanks for linking the videos, I love this show.

Anything that makes fun of Jack Thompson is good in my books.

Love this show. Fun and informative, who can say no? Is Jack Thompson really a factor anymore, didn't he get disbarred?

I saw a cord coming out of the controller...so it was almost certainly a ps2 he was playing on.

Cool episode. Thanks for posting links to the youtube clips.

I like Penn & Teller as a magic act, but let's face it, they only take up issues on this show to get a reaction. The BS title of the show applies just as much to them as it does to the subjects they cover. When they defended second hand smoke as being as harmless as someone making noise near you, they lost me as a viewer.

That was enjoyable TV.

Poor Harrison.

I got to watch about 30min of it and it was excellent. They provided such great points. Smart guys they are. Poor kid though.

The use of the kid is to show those who believe video games make kids murderers understand that that's not the truth. People who do that are sick in the head. Its kind of extreme for them to use the 9yr old, but hey, it helps get the point across.

Except that they back up their claims while most of the claims they attack appear to be unsubstantiated. That seems to put them in the NON-BS catagory.

So really, you don't like them because they attacked one of your pet issues? Don't get me wrong, I don't like to be around people who smoke. But that doesn't mean I get to make up some sort of unsubstantiated claim to support my choice.

Thanks for the heads-up, modeps. I have been wondering when they would take on video games!

It's a shame this wasn't made for network television and thus will never be seen by the crowd that really needs to watch it (i.e. the 65% of the population that thinks there is substantial scientific evidence linking violence and games).

Agreed. And now he'll probably get teased incessantly by the other kids at school.

Not cool.

Sometimes they hit upon some that are good I agree, but for the most part, they give their argument, and then put up opposing arguments from the weakest people they can find. Remember, they are illusionists first and foremost. It is very easy for them to put up the appearance of non-BS as long as they leave out facts that counter the point, and only present facts that favor it.

So really, you don't like them because they attacked one of your pet issues? Don't get me wrong, I don't like to be around people who smoke. But that doesn't mean I get to make up some sort of unsubstantiated claim to support my choice.

So you think they are correct, and that second hand smoke is as harmless as noise? I beg (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/secondhand-smoke/CC00023) to (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/27/AR2006062700710.html) differ (http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1638535,00.html).

It's not a pet peeve of mine. To tell me second hand smoke is harmless insults ones intelligence and screams "hey man, we are only doing this to get a reaction!" That episode was so biased it wasn't even funny, it's like they weren't even trying to hide it. Personally, I'd rather see them do magic and jokes than try and fool me with one sided facts.

When your walking down a city street with hundreds of cars zooming by you, yes its harmless, relax. Second hand smoke prolly is bad but what isnt?

Outgassing from you new car interior, paint in your home, carpet, shower curtains, new electronics, ect, radio/cell waves bouncing everywhere 24 hours a day, lawn fertilizers, radiated food, the sun,....i can go on for days. What are we going to do about that? Where is the outrage? Unfortunately we live in the part of the industrial revolution where its still pretty dirty, its takes time. Cigarettes should be the least of your worries. Seriously

People who pick on this are doing this to get a reaction.
