Has anybody played this on PC? Is it worth it?

I've heard very good things about this - it's more Sim based than it is Arcade based, right?

Nah, not really. It's the basic Codemasters handling where it feels like the car uses it's center as a pivot point, which makes no sense to anyone that has ever driven a real car.

There's some fun to be had, but if you are at all interested in realistic or even semi-realistic cars, go for something else.

I just got myself the 360 Racing Wheel (with the wireless adapter for the PC too). Now the question is: Should I buy it for PC or for the 360?

As an arcade racer, I love the hell outta this one. It's graphics are drop dead beautiful and they run great on a decent rig. If you're looking for simracing here, you won't find it. But so what, I have fun with it anyways and at $14.99, you will to.

I hate racing games, but love this. Have been waiting for a sale for months. Great port, runs perfectly, looks better than anything else out there, great audio and music all around, online play just plain works (unlike many other console to PC ports, like the recent abomination Street Fighter 4). $15 is a no brainer. Works great with a 360 pad.

What he said. I play this on PC, lots of fun solo or online. Plenty of tracks/events, a handful of which are based off real tracks, and while it's nowhere near a sim it certainly plays a lot more realistic than most arcade racers. Limited car selection depending on race keeps the races pretty balanced and keeps them pretty interesting (though you'll have to put with some nonsense like the bastards on the F3 tracks who just park their car sideways). Catch-up and assisted driving options for the people who aren't so great at racers but still want to play (a nifty little rewind ability for the solo races too). It's a solid game all-around--worth the $40 I paid and a steal at $15.

I was really in to it (on PS3) until it started repeating tracks like nobodies business. Really killed it for me like half way through the career.

It saying your name is entirely awesome.

I think SFIV online is the bees' knees. Please elaborate a bit so I know what I'm missing.

95% of all attempted connections saying unable to connect. Match maker will randomly take up to 20 seconds just to show a measily 3 low ping players. If a player's PC is shit, the game's default option is to slow down the speed to that of the low FPS, which when played online, makes BOTH players suffer freaky spastic gameplay speeds. Massive amounts of input lag in matches depending on opponent, making the game unplayable.

Shit like that. Absolute fail. If you dont believe me, just look at the Steam forums for the game. A complete waste of $37 for me.

Please get informed before you spout crap. SF4 PC isn't a console port, if anything the console versions are PC ports. You do realize that the SF4 arcade machine runs a modified version of Windows on PC hardware right? SF4 was built from the ground up to run on Windows and PC hardware, the PC version is actually a direct port of the arcade version, the console ones are actually missing content compared to the PC and arcade versions.

I'm not spouting crap and I knew every detail of that before hand because I kept up with all the interviews regarding the PC version. It doesn't change the fact that the online play is completely fucked. It doesn't matter what hardware it came from. It should work when released. It does not.
