Tomb Raider is on double-secret probation. One more bad game and it'll be kicked off campus. The screens look pretty good, though-- even for PSP.

indeed, and Crystal Dynamics has a decent reputation, so the franchise might actually regain some of its lost glory.

Woah the PS2 shots are insane. Really surprised what they're pushing out recently.
After hearing the Rachel Weizs voicing rumors I think I'll give the franchise another go and maybe purchase the PC version. Haven't played this series since number 3.

Screens look great. Prior generation consoles are not dead yet that's for sure.
I attempted to play the first one of this series on the PC. The concept was good but the various bugs (clipping issues mainly that I recall) turned me off from them completely.

I can't help but keep staring at that awful looking rope/vine thing in the 3rd 360 shot.
Doesn't look impressive to me, but I could be horribly jaded. I mean, it looks good enough to warrant looking, but the X360 shots don't look "360 enough". Where's the depth blur? Why are there some blurry textures showcased in the shots? Why are Lara's fingers so blocky? It just looks very "Xbox Plus", which didn't help Tony Hawk and Gun sell.

ANY game that is created for ALL the platforms at once is DOOMED from the get go. It's going to be a suck fest. You know it, I know it.

Those ropes/vines she's climbing look ugly as hell.
But, the game looks like it could be fun. Here's to the trial-and-error section of platform gaming.

God damn it, TURN DOWN THE FUCKING BLOOM on the X360/PC!!!! Jesus, why does EVERYTHING have to look glowy to be next-gen??? The Xbox/PS2 shots look ten times better. At least she has some facial imperfections, unlike the Vaseline-on-the-lens look of the PC and X360 versions.

If she looks good, I'll buy it. If she doesn't I won't. Right now, I'm not liking her looks that much. Liked her better in AOD.

This should be pretty good since the guy who made the first one is behind this as well.
As usual, the 360 port looks like claymation crap.

player66, tell us more :)
what about it ? not that impressed ?
Zanzibar, i´m with you, every new game has that effect.. urgh.
Funnily enough, I just tried out the *first* Tomb-Raider this week (which I'd never seen in the flesh, so to speak, ;) before.) Damn, that's some well created shiat. I'm keen to check out this one now. ..Previously I hadn't cared coz I'd only seen the crapfest sequels. And heck, she looks hot, so the game's got to be enjoyable in a Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball kinda way ..and if there's a real game underneat those curves? Bonus!
And she's still got that curvacious / style-ized look to her. I rekon that's important. But like others said, developers have got to get over that light-bloom fixation.
