Woohoo! I'm a big Rugby fan meself. England are my primary team (being born here, and supporting them all my life), but my secondary team is Ireland (my girlfriend living there and where I'll probably be in a few months). I also support Leicester Tigers.
Anyway, I'm sadly enough looking forward to next year a bit more. World Cup should be a very interesting one >:D

I'm american, and I wish there was more rugby on TV. Seriously, I don't understand how people can like watching football more than rugby when they stop the game every few minutes to line up again.

I watched a rugby game once and realized that almost every other sport in existence is for pussies.
So how well do rugby games sell in the US? Hockey isn't terribly popular, but the games still manage to sell well, right? Same scenario perhaps.

Soccer: A game played on a rectangular field with net goals at either end in which two teams of 11 players each try to drive a ball into the other's goal by kicking, heading, or using any part of the body except the arms and hands. The goalie is the only player who may touch or move the ball with the arms or hands.
Rugby: A type of football game, taking its name from the English public preparatory school. Derived from soccer or association football, Rugby in turn was the forerunner of American football. Kicking and dribbling with the foot are a part of Rugby; however, continuous passing of the ball is its most characteristic feature. The game enjoys its greatest popularity in Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and France. The amateur game, the main concern of this article, is played with 15 men on each team and is called "Rugby Union." The professional game is called "Rugby League," and although it resembles the amateur game in many respects, there are differences in the laws, or rules, and only 13 players on a team. The object of the game is for each side to attempt to ground the ball beyond their opponent's goal line and score the greater number of points within two 40-minute periods of play.

Except union has been professional now for ages. Not to nitpick, its just that people might read "amatuer" as being lesser than "professional". Anyway fitababits, I guess you'll be watching the 6 nations coming up?
