Someones face getting punched by a truck? :D
This looks good but I have to get into the demo at the moment still.
I loved Ready to Rumble on Dreamcast and PS2.
How do you get different types of punches going?

I've played the demo. The graphics are great, but I'd say the gameplay is a bit iffy... It can be fun, but it's also very slow, and not terribly responsive. Plus I usually knockout the opponent in the third round <.<

Wow. Looks like they cleaned it up even more.

I downloaded the demo last night and was completely blown away. Normally I hate sports games but I'm absolutely buying this the moment it comes out.

Wait .... do the graphics really look this good? Are the body movements and reactions fluid and natural-looking?

Yes and no ;)
The graphics are real... body movements are "ok" but could be more fluid IMHO (but that is based on the demo). I recon they will probably be a bit better in the final version since this demo is quite old build apparently.
Most of my mates love this and have been hogging the 360 to play... I am not really into it ;) I prefer faster fighting games.

It's pretty incredible, over all. The last (and only) boxing game I ever played was Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, which is still my favorite ;P though that's probably just nostalgia talking. Honestly, FNR3 is going into my library the day it hits shelves, it's simply satisfying. I can't wait to try my hand in a career mode, build up my fighter, and take him online. Should be excellent. The only thing this game is missing is Soda Popinski.

I downloaded the demo last night, I couldn't believe how good it looked. On top of that it was extremely fun, I will be pre-ordering. Very impressive.

This game is both beautiful and incredibly fun. Its the first true Next-Gen 'looking' game in the launch. I debuted the game at a family party with 10+ 50 year old men who could not believe that the game wasn't real. They all took turns playing and LOVED it! If a game appeals to guys 50+ years old who have NEVER played games before, then you know you have a real winner.
Fight Night 360 will be a system seller, believe it or not.

I've never played the Fight Night games and thought that you couldn't really do much in the way of punches. I guess I should've read the instructions :D

Agreed. This is the game I bust out when I have guests to show how good modern videogames can look.

It is an ok game based on the demo. I get really bugged by the ability to foul my oponent all the time (neck punches, behind the head punches, clobbering him as he falls to the mat, etc). I also get bugged by the commentary and the replays. The replays are touted as being the massive hits and highlights from the round but most of the time it is anything but a highlight.
If they clean that up for release and the movements are a bit more responsive/fluid it will definately be a hit game and one that I'll probably purchase. But time will tell.

Hope they let you customize your boxer like FNR2 did. I created a big fat slob with the name "Daddy Primetime", and it was fun just hearing "Daddy Primetime lands a huge haymaker" from the commentators.

There are 6 different control configs. When you go to pick a corner you can press up or down to select one and X (I believe) to preview the layout. I tried about 4 different layouts, I prefer number 3.

When I post complaining about how Battleground 2 or whatever doesn't look so good on 360 - THIS is the game I am comparing them with. Apples to oranges my ass - it's the only game I've seen that is built with the power of 360 in mind the whole way through. Most everything I've seen on the 360 is the same-old same-old now with more bloom and focus effects; nice, but not really next-gen.

Before jizzing on your screen, you should wait to see if the animation has improved compared to the demo...

Ew. Anyways, I'm not commenting about the animation or the gameplay - just that the graphics in this game qualify as REAL next-gen. At times, it really does look like a TV show. Not often, but those moments are really eyebrow raising.

How's that a fair comparison? You're comparing the outdoor BF2 to an indoor sports game.
I love boxing (obviously), but graphics is half of the game in a sports title.

Saw the new video (http://www.xboxyde.com/leech_2152_en.html) of a further along version, it really looks improved over the demo, should be a must buy game.

That is deffinitely very cool.
Not trying to be a troll, but commenting on all games in general, I have still yet to see a game where they have a convincing large background crowd though.

There's only like 5 different people in that audience.
But I'm sure that's not exactly where this game draws your eyes to while you're playing...
Very impressive.

I played this demo a lot last night and thanks to Trilogy and my determination I've got the hang of it.
I like the game a lot now. I ended up knocking him out in the first round a few times. This is another game i'm looking forward to now.
