Neat idea.

I suspect we are going to start seeing a lot more movies return to the traditional vampire lore. Kind of a Twilight backlash. You know they will make a movie out of Del Toro's Strain.

Undead was great! This looks good too... and much higher budget than Undead.

I can't decide if I think the movie looks good, or if the song at the end makes me think it looks good.

It looks good, though!

Look nice, but of that's what trailers are for of course.

Cool concept all the same. We'll see if it pans out . . . the shots of the blood farms were quite awesome.

it has kind of an interesting premise but overall I didnt get a Vampire feel about it. Then again I'm not even a fan of True Blood really. I like watching it but lately I've been skimming past some of the wordier moments.

This is what the Vampires in I am Legend SHOULD have been, just like the story.

I for one cant wait for this film, they have been working on this for a few years do to budget concerns (i.e. not really having one) so they could get all the special effects correct and NOT have to do the shitty Twilight crap.
Also there is another good vampire film in the works that is kind of a "Night in the Life" type story where a reporter follows around of VERY evil group of vampires as they wreck havoc on L.A.

NEW JURASSIC PARK NAO PLZ!

He almost always turns in a good performance. It doesn't hurt that he was in one of my favorite films of all time, Event Horizon, and Mrs. Avatar likes him because he played Damien in The Omen III.

This looks great! A unique story (well, I'm sure it's all been done before, but it seems unique-ish). I'll see it.

Sam Neill is easily one of the most underrated actors of our time. He is just amazing. No one can play the Everyman Who Goes Nuts better than him. Plus, he gets bonus points for being in Sirens.

If you have never seen In the Mouth of Madness, you are missing out on a very, very creepy movie. I've seen it 10 times at least and it STILL gives me the heebie-jeebies.

This one definitely is on my radar now.

Wow, a vampire movie about what happens if the vampires win! I'm in for sure. Always wanted to see a movie about that.

You are welcome. That is always the first question I ask myself when I see one of these cool trailers. "What song is that?"

I snagged the song on iTunes about 10 seconds after I watched the trailer.

There is a novel where the vampires win, Afterage (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1892950588?ie=UTF8&tag=evilavatarcom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1892950588) by Yvonne Navarro.

There is also an anthology of short stories titled, Under the Fang (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0671695738?ie=UTF8&tag=evilavatarcom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0671695738).

Sirens was actually a really good movie (not because of hot naked women) and In the Mouth of Madness is hella-creepy...good call on that one! I believe that was a John Carpenter film was it not?

i dont know how this one sneaked under my radar ....
i tend to follow vampire flicks (twilight included) and this one seems particularly good, right around the realms of Night Watch, which i thought was awesome...but that song at the end, is definitely not doing it for me, they should've keep the Kate Bush version ... or at least something more "Vampiresque" a'la Joy Division carte, even Bauhaus perhaps...

Looks very interesting. Definately going to hav to check this out, when it is released. The wifey and I love vampire movies, and she generally hates horror movies (just not vampire based ones).

You got that right. I loved In the Mouth of Madness, caught is on Sci-Fi by accident on night. I have seen it many times now, and am still creaped out with each viewing.

I was thinking the same thing, but since it says the release date is January, I guess they're pimping it early enough so few truly miss it. Looks like fun to me, and I dig the cast.

So let me get this straight...Willem Dafoe said "no" to Boondock Saints: All Saints Day, and "yes" to this?!! W.T.F.???

That sounds like an interesting story. Where did you read that? I totally believe you, I would be interested in reading an interview where he explains why.

As far as I know, there isn't any real explanation why, Troy Duffy only briefly mentioned(somewhere on www.boondockfans.com, I can't remember where exactly right now) that Willem Dafoe won't be in the sequel, saying something along the lines of Dafoe wanting his carrier to go in a different direction... I would also be very interested in learning more about Dafoe's decision not to be in All Saint's Day...:(:(:(:(:(
