Their designing it for PS3 AND PS2, Xbox 360 AND Xbox? Isn't that going to horribly cramp its potential? It's not just about graphical quality. The next gen systems should be able to handle much larger and complex levels. Unless their planing completely different games for current and next gen systems, they've killed it already.

Yay, finally a WWII game! It's made by EA - even better.

This is bound to be a winner. ;)

So... don't read it?

Then again, an EA WWII game. What else is there to talk about? (except that it's coming out for all of the old and new gen consoles, so it probably won't take advantage of the new gen's large abilities)

Dude, its not like I can avoid reading "EA SUCKS" comments. But that kind of feedback is just bloody tiring and old. Its almost impossible to find comments about EA games without jumping into the "EA SUCKS" bandwagon.

That is because they do.

Oh man, what a great idea!? A WWII First Person Shooter!? I'm sooo looking forward to the next generation.

I wonder if they'll have sniper rifles?

Have you played MOH:Airborne?

As opposed to a space shooter er.... overly dark shooter er.....modern military shooter er....sci fi shooter......yeah, thats right, there are no original shooters left. Go bitch about the other clones now, or better yet keep bitching about the ww2 clones because we know that solves everything. Korea and Vietnam have already been tried and flopped because the games were shit, not because of the subject matter. I would like something new as well, but I still like all shooters that at least have solid replay value.

Well, at least it will be another easy 1000 gamerpoints on the 360 ;).

It'd be cool if they had a D-Day mission.

I laughed so hard when I first saw that comic, and now I am snickering to myself in class. Thanks!

I love WWII games to death, but come on. After Call of Duty I didn't want to go back to MOH games. They're really going to have to pull their heads out of their asses and make a non-mediocre game, and we all know there's only a slight chance of that happening.

Yes, CoD 2 rocks harder than most games ever dream of rocking.

I think Battlefield 2 had some incredible potential, but I never got to see it realized. I played for a couple of months and ended up remembering only the hours of bad times that game provided me. When I hopped into a good server, got on a good squad, and played against players who were generally interested in not being dicks I had a good time. That was rare, exceedingly rare. Im trading it off if anybody is interested, I have a thread in the Trader forum.

Oh, and about EA sucking, you have to hear it so much because EA sucks. Not just your standard issue sucking, this company is actively trying to bring about the second videogame crash by flooding the market with garbage and selling it based on thier name. Most anything internally developed is garbage, plain and simple, and they don't just do publishing, they must own you first. The worst though is that they buy out small developers and kill them. You want to stop hearing about EA sucking, then turn your back on the people who make the games you love so much and you won't have to hear it ever again, or play good games.

The worst part is...it all has to be done online. No career mode. I hit 100 birdies last night and no achievement. :(

I thought we were talking about WWIIFPS. Battlefield 2 is not one.

I might stop complaining about EA sucking if they could publish one competent DS game. Not an N64 or GBA port, not a generic tie-in, but an actual designed-for-two-screens-and-utilizing-the-touch-screen-well DS game.

You NAILED it right there. Killing off the little houses that have creativity and style.. only to be gutted of that once they've been borgified by EA.

Ehh EA, THQ, Activision... I know they've laid off a lot of concept and game designers since I've talked to them personally. The direction the money is in, like it or not, is in franchises. EA: Make the same game on every platform, make a new version of every sport game made every year and insert XXX XXXXXXX 06. THQ: Is it on Cartoon Network or Saturday Morning? Woohoo built in audience lets make a game! Activision: We've lost all concept of originality. True Crime, Tony Hawk, what else can we make part 8 of and sell for $50?
