Just caught this post over at www.slickdeals.net in the Hot Deals Forums. Seems Circuit City has clearanced many of their current-gen titles (in-store only). These are permanent markdowns and the prices will not go back up.
Here's the link (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=68762&t=184038) (too many titles to list)

That's pretty sweet.
Though some of those prices you can get at EB and Gamestop through used purchases and that shit has warrenties on it.

Not to sound like a Negative Nancy, but this is old news. My Circuit City has had nothing good since it started and only good things i could find was Beyond Good & Evil for the PS2. So don't raise your hopes up too high.

There's only a couple of games I'd actually bother trying to get. One of them would be Mega Man X 8...which I could get for $9.99 at FYE.
So...yeah. It's a shame that there isn't a Circuit City near me. Big shame.

I noticed that Nintendo DS stylus packs were a bit cheaper at Circuit City a couple weeks back. Around $4 something instead of $5 or so.
I'll take a look at my local store. There are a couple games on there I wouldn't mind owning. However, the stock of games that was there the last time I went was minimal to say the least, so I'm not holding my breath.

Anyone who can be cynical about that list either a) doesn't like video games or b) has already played all the good games that are marked way the hell down.
I focused in on the Xbox section because it's my preferred home console (though I haven't played anything but DS games for the past few weeks), and the $3.96 section alone is full of games that are either good or at least worth the money. Going further down to the $13.96 section also yields a glut of solid games.
Again, I guess if you've played all of them the list is pointless but there are some gems there at excellent prices - especially for brand-new games. It's easy to tell that the bargain hunters are going to have a field day this year as the next generation of consoles starts to take hold.

value bin $19.99 UPC 658517596358
Dude! Check that game out! 5.96$
On a more serious note.. I was there yesterday to get some shrinkwrap and parts.. All out of stock.
CC bought all the Radio Shacks on this side of the border and converted them. I have no clue where to go for stuff anymore. Order online?
I know Radio Shack has plans to reopen stores in Canada, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

bard is right--this news has been on the deal sites for weeks. if you live in anything bigger than a town, you're circuit city is going to have been cleaned out weeks ago.
the toys-r-us clearance actually had even better deals, but it's been going on so long that there's probably nothing left there either.

Quit being such a...double Negative Nancy.
You're totally killing the mood of good deals, man!
Quit killing the good deals with your negativity!
The Toysrus deal seems better in comparison (got 4 games from it) although I just might see about grabbing Legacy of Kain.

I'm sorry Positive Paul, but yah on that note incase people don't know CompUSA is having a game sale too, it started a few days ago so you'd have better luck with that. Since went yesterday at 8:30PM and they had much more games on sale then Circuit City, just look for the bin full of cheap games (Gun was $29.99 along with Front Mission 4 for under $10, though some places i guess have games like Pikmin for $2.96).
Also EBGames has a winter sale starting this week too.

I'd like MS to get some 360s into the pipeline so EB/GS can start clearing out their Xbox inventories. I could go for some bargain gaming.

The local Cirtcuit City has such a horrible stock of games, it was almost a waste of time going in there. The only thing that was on that list, that they had, that was worthwhile would've been Beyond Good & Evil on the PS2. There was NOTHING else.
CompUSA, on the other hand, had a couple decent deals. I picked up KOF 2000 / 2001 on the PS2 for $15. I don't think that was necessarily a "steal," but its better than nothing.

$1.99
Jet Grind Radio
That makes me happy. I never had it. It's also obscure enough to still be in stock at bigger CC stores. I'll check around Seattle, and maybe I'll find one.
