The weekend is here, and for many college students, the last free weekend before school starts again. And since in the states, it will be a holiday on Monday, for many students that means a nice, long three day weekend. This means lots of game time. I will be playing the usual suspects, Gothic 2 Gold, WoW, and CoH. I am also going to try EVE Online. What are you going to be doing this weekend?

Not exactly what I'm playing this weekend, but I've spent way too much time this week playing Jade Empire on a rental. Best $7.99 I've spent on a game in a while. I'm also thinking of either renting Ninja Gaiden: Black or picking up Guild Wars at the recommendation of a friend.

Can't stop playing WoW for the life of me. Started a couple of weeks ago and really having a ton of fun. Are there any servers that EA members play more on than others? Would be cool to get together.

I was looking at the XBox 360 compatability list I saw Outlaw Golf 2 on there. So, not having played it in since Halo 2 came out and not having any other Golf game yet for the console, I put it in and am hooked again.
Its a great golf game. Very underappreciated in my opinion. . . just make sure to turn off the dialogue and skip through the cut scenes.
Maybe I'll get back to CoD2 as well.

I'm playing some co-op X-men Legends 2 on the Gamecube. I would be playing the Xbox version but for some reason it is still not supported on the backwards compatibility. I'll also be putting in more time with Animal Crossing which I've been getting into a nice moderate groove of a half hour a day or so of productive play. I finally beat Metriod Pinball this week, so I will probably knock that out of rotation for a while.

I snagged Fable: The Lost Chapters (Xbox) for less than a $10.00 new at my local Target, so after I finish PDZ that's next.

I have a very casual guild going on Emerald Dream - Horde side. I think EA's members all joined whateverthefuck servers when it launched and it became quickly obvious that there would never be a "EA server".

Emerald Dream is a RP-PVP server, btw, which means people like to roleplay and horde and alliance can kill each other without asking permission first.

I'll be putting some time in on the Xbox 360. I'm still having a lot of fun in Kameo, COD2, PGR3, PDZ and Condemed. I have Madden, but it has been collecting dust and will probably continue to do so until my work schedule matches my friends.

Everyone seems to like the Live Arcade game Geometry Wars, so I think I might buy the full version of it this weekend.

I wish they would hurry up and make the Texas Hold'em poker game available, I know that would be a cool to throw down on vs the other EA gamers. We should even have a tournament, winner receives a full body massage from Jetherik.

Probably run home to see the folks tomorrow, so I'll have my DS with me in case boredom arises. That means Mario Kart, Mario & Luigi, and hopefully some Advance Wars, if my goddamn copy arrives in the mail like it's supposed to.

At home, I don't know. Started Lunar: The Silver Star last weekend and I for some reason am having trouble getting into it, after loving it over 10 years ago on the Sega CD. I might have to put it down in favor of another game, but probably not an RPG until Grandia III arrives.

i'll probably get a few games of Hexic in, and finish up CoD2 on my 360.

My son has this chore list going where he's earning points to get Zelda, Wind Walker. I think he'll finally get it this weekend, so we'll crack it open and play that a bit. I also ordered the latest Prince of Persia from GoGamer, but that'll likely show up next week.

There's my endless NWN2 project (http://adamandjamie.com/da). I've got a quest to debug for the Bioware writing contest. It turned out really well, especially the cross-dressing corpse burning aspect.

CoD2...I know I said last week I'd beat it but the damn American Silo mission on Veteran is ridiculous. I will also acheive a 10x multiplier in Geo Wars this weekend and get a Black Pearl COmbination in Hexic.

I will also conquer the Chinese (Civ 4). THey've been hounding me for centuries!

I built up some brownie points with the Mrs. this week, so I should have good gaming weekend. A little Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, a little Guild Wars, and some AC: WW. My friend picked up Super Mario Strikers, which is a blast, so we may throw down some multiplayer Strikers.

Kind of embarrassed to say - Land of the Dead: Fiddlers Green. It just feels so dated, but I’m actually enjoying it. If you can suspend belief in the fact that the incredibly bad Artificial Intelligence in the game would be fairly accurate if people started popping up after kickkin’ off. Are we not gamers? Do we not NEED zombies?

Swat 4 cooperative multi-player is spectacular if you can find individuals that are truly cooperative. Short and sweet Swat 4 sessions are a GO GO GO.

You going into medicine? Have you picked a specialty? My sister-in-law just started in the ICU newborn unit at a nearby children's hospital. I do not envy her her position.

I have so many games, I'm not sure what to play. I think I'll take most of them, put them in a box, and set out 2 or 3 for each platform. With this gaming schizophrenia, I'll never beat anything.

I should have worded my post better - my wife is finishing up medical school this year and has interviewed in lots of places. I'm really sweet on UVA (location, etc.), but she's really sweet on NorthWestern in Chicago.

I hear you on the amount of games... Time for me to hit EBGames or GameStop to trade a bunch (probably in the region of 100), although I may give eBay a shot.

Doing the work thing this weekend, followed by the Season 2 premiere of BSG (up here, at least) on Saturday and the 24 premiere on Sunday/Monday. Good TV's a-comin' my way!

I'll probably be playing on the DS most of the weekend. Going to try to beat Phoenix Wright in the next day or two (about halfway through the 4th case).

Working on Aria Of Sorrow on the Castlevania double pack. Gotta finish it before I can play Dawn of Sorrow.

Add the inevitable harvest of the peaches on AC:WW and you have my weekend sown up. Just paid off my first house loan and my lilac-roofed mansion should be ready by tomorrow.

Oh, and reading V For Vendetta. Gotta make sure I know my stuff before the movie comes out so I can point out plot holes.

With my newfound xbox 360 and never having owned the previous gen consoles I am fully immersed in Ninja Gaiden Black. DOA4 arrives tomorrow... so Team Ninja will be on my gaming plate when the TV is free (may have to move it back to my computer monitor to feed the addiction).

When the TV is not free it will be NFS:MW on the pc. Just won the pink slip to the porsche cayman s tonight. Going to enjoy that car.

When I'm watching the toddler play with his toys it will be Advance Wars DS.

Playing through Dawn of Sorrow on the DS and loving it. Castlevania's one of those few games where I like to try and collect everything and see all the secrets.

I really like how it looks on my monitor a lot. True reason it is in the living room is I'm trying to mitigate how much time I spend alone in a room by myself with a computer while my wife is in another room. Helps with the aggro factor.

hmm... i've been dissapointed with the Monitor.. PGR3 looks better on a normal TV than it does on a monitor using 720p (the Jaggies are Terrible), however the other games I have look ok on my monitor... i'm hoping its just an issue with PGR3

I played a few minutes of Riviera today, Disgaea last night, some Metroid Prime today, and I might even load up Tales of Symphonia in a bit, even though I swore off RPGs until Grandia III hits. I played all of those for the first time and liked them all, but Disgaea seemed a bit complex for my late night romp before bed last night. I should give it another go.

I was playing Gothic 2 this weekend and I have to ask: How can anyone stand to play this game? The controls are terrible(as everyone knows)and its got nothing but fetchit quests. I wouldn't be so hard on it but people were comparing it to Morrowind, where I think a more realistic comparison is Fable, with more options but worse graphics.

Now the wife is finished with that storytelling abortion that is Alias, our TV is freed up for the first weekend in ages. PD0 and PGR3 for me. Even dabbled in the Fight Night 3 demo which looks amazing, but felt very slow and unintuitive...

I loved the first two Fatal Frames. The second is much creepier than the first, but they're both nice deviations from the normal survival horror cliches.

I tried the third one out but that was right around Christmas and it was a victim of the monster that is my brand new DS. I'm going to see if I can find a used copy of Fatal Frame 3 once I'm finished loving the snot out of this little red beauty.

I played for a little over an hour and it just couldn't grab me. I thought maybe it was interesting, but perhaps my lack of interest stems from being unable to find anything truly captivating lately. Even if I'm playing a good game, my mind starts to wander. Metroid Prime is a great game and I think I'll be able to stick it out, however. Fatal Frame will probably have to wait a bit until I am more into the "horror" mode. I also found it a bit difficult to take pictures at the right time, to maximize my damage. I just couldn't get the technique down, and ended up wasting lots of film to kill some early ghosts by using the normal method of film attack.

The first game's controls were what hurt the game for me, but I got past them...to a point. I haven't played Gothic 2 yet, but if the controls are similar, then yes, that will put a serious damper on it for me. I don't understand why they didn't overhaul the controls with the sequel...and I don't understand why they even went with that scheme for the first game. Surely the Germans understood how unintuitive it was.

I spend most of my Sunday afternoon playing Metroid Prime 1. I actually enjoy it, but I think the reason I always overlooked the Metroid franchise is because of all the backtracking. I always notice spots I cant access when I go through an area the first time, but how in the hell am I supposed to remember were all these little places are 10 hours later? Oh well, hopefully I beat the game...I just haven't been able to get into videogaming this weekend...maybe I'm getting too old. (25)

Good luck with the newborn. I just hope you don't get hit with the Cholic bug. That things a gamebreaker! Thankfully it's easily fixed by the Driving Around Town All Night Long patch, but that tends to be a drain on the system resources.
