THQ and Relic have cranked out some video of their upcoming Xbox 360 game for IGN.

Relic's first Xbox 360 title puts these characters to use by leading them through 12 single-player missions, each packed with vigorous enemy AI that re-takes unguarded vantage points, calls in heavy half-tracks, tanks, and air-strikes -- just like you -- and can hammer you quicker than you can say zippity-do-dah-day.

This latest trailer called Pure Destruction, created exclusively for IGN, shows Relic's continued improvement across the board. Have a look at this high-res, 640x480, in-game action flick.
Check it out here (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/681/681102p1.html). Note that only IGN subscribers can get the High Res stuff (since when is 640x480 high resolution?), the rest of us are stuck with the 320x240 video size.

I think this game might be done and heading to shelves shortly.

640x480 is decently high for a video.

Holy god. Gaming is getting so close to where I want it to be. I'm sick of anyone saying anything about this not being the next generation. The level of destruction in this game is unreal, and the graphics...man. And people...this is a fucking launch title. The next generation should be about ai, physics, and immersion. VR is for next-next gen :-D

The message you have entered is too short

Looks like a souped up, WW2 version of Mercenaries. I'm there :)

I wasn't really interested in this title before but dang! It looks pretty damn good.

I'm suddenly sold. It occured to me how fun it would be to stream some Flight of the Bumblebee whilst evading tank shells in a jeep...

Anyone else here remember playing tons of "Return Fire" on the ol' 3DO?

I didnt realize Relic made this until i read your post. Now that i know, I will be buying this. Even thought I said im tired of WW themed games. After Homeworld/Dawn of War, they became one of my favorite RTS developers.

I think launch happened a while back, but I could be wrong.

Sorry to get a little off topic, but can anyone explain why the quicktime versions are much larger than the windows media version? Are they actually higher quality, or is it just the different way of encoding?

Ah yes, Return Fire was great. Single player kinda sucked but the multiplayer had me up many a night.
