Sony has announced (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/06/11/killzone-2-flash-thunder-pack-out-today-how-to-survive-a-nuclear-attack/) that the second Killzone 2 map pack, "Flash & Thunder" is available today.

Download this Killzone 2 pack for a trip down memory lane with two classic multiplayer maps from the original Killzone, updated with new, even more brutal gameplay environments. Revisit the Vektan shores in Beach Head and battle through the wastelands of the Southern Hills.

When the last two new ones came out I could barely join a game that was playing the new ones, even now it's a little frustrating trying to find a game that is playing on the new maps.

I'll pass on the $5.99, I'll just wait for MGS1 to come out instead.

Damn I really need to finish the SP campaign. I think I'm a little past the halfway mark through it.

I can never find a game with the new maps. You can search by map and I never see anyone playing the new maps. Which is a shame, they are great.

Sony would do everyone a favor if they ran some servers with the new maps in the rotation. Who do we bitch at to get that done?

i got weak and picked up kz2 this week. damn it's my first console fps since the goldeneye glory days, hard getting used to it. but can't wait to finish the campain and try some mp afterwards. mappacks on the other hand have a very low priority right now.

There are not a ton of rooms with the last map pack on but I have never had a hard time getting in a game. I always see a room open for those maps.

I picked up the maps today and they are a feast for the eyes. Beachhead is filled with great rain effects, and southern hills is gorgeous alone, then you throw in the nuclear blast which is beautiful then the wind from the blast fills the air with particles and stuff. Just beautiful

Oh yeah, and the layouts of the maps are great. A lot different vibe then the maps currently available. The levels are filled with a lot of natural peaks and valleys. Very different feel and great for it.

I haven't finished yet either. But, I haven't finished on purpose. I'm savoring it.

Love the game but 6 dollars for 2 maps... already put that down for the first pack and wasn't too impressed. Knowing me I'll probably end up getting this anyway, though.

I think I'm on the last boss of the campaign but it's so frustratingly hard that I just gave up. I might try to finish it this weekend but all my "skill" went away playing other games.
