Gamestop sends along word that gamers who pre-order Beatles RockBand from Gamestop will get three free bonus songs via DLC.

You'll feel like a teenage girl who lucked into tickets to the Ed Sullivan Show on Feb. 9, 1964, when you reserve The Beatles: Rock Band from GameStop. Customers who reserve the game will receive 3 FREE DLC game songs available after launch by The Beatles, plus a code to unlock an in-game photo album. While supplies last.

Customers can reserve their copy in-stores or online. The Beatles: Rock Band is available at GameStop stores nationwide Sept. 9.

I'll take free release day shipping from Amazon.com over three free songs from Gamestop.

I wonder how many times you'll have to tell the gamestop employees "no" to pre-ordering some shitty game before they let you buy what you want.

So just to clarify, these 3 songs aren't exclusive to the Gamestop version of the game are they? I know that might sound a little nutty, but recently there have been several games that contained content only available to people who preordered from Gamestop.

Infamous contained some Melee power that was only available through Gamestop and while I didn't have a problem passing on that, I would certainly buy Beatles Rock Band from Gamestop if it meant missing out on songs.

That being said, I would rather purchase games from any retailer other than Gamestop.

Well.

what are the songs?

Are they Beatles songs?

You do that. I'll enjoy $6 worth of songs free, as well as this "in game photo album". If they're willing to give me free shit for a game I'm going to buy no matter what, and all I have to do is drive 5 mins down the road to make a preorder....that's an easy choice.
