Gameinfowire has posted the good news (http://gameinfowire.com/news.asp?nid=13969) that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be joining Sony's Greatest Hits lineup.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., announced today that Hideo Kojima's award-winning Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, has joined the PLAYSTATION 3 Greatest Hits collection and will be available for the new low price of $29.99 on June 16, 2009. Additionally, the company will release the game that started it all - Metal Gear Solid - on the PlayStation Network on June 18th, 2009 for the SRP of $9.99.

Good deal for me, that means $19.99 from Fry's Electronics.

that's not bad for a 9 hour movie with intermittent game play...

I noticed no one ever charges 20 bucks for new greatest hits games anymore.

I beat the game in 18 hours, and 9 of it was cut-scenes. Sorry for the slight exaggeration, and for making fun of your favorite game in the world.

I guess when a game is $60 new they figure $30 is the bargain bin price. I'm with you, I can't wrap my head around that either. I'm still looking for old games to be $20.

I do like the red box for Sony's Greatest Hits titles. Kind of neat.

Are you sure about it being $19.99 in Fry's? I've seen greatest hits games there at $29.99.

I've seen both. I guess it depends on how much overstock that they have. $30 is still a good deal. I might wait until they have a red box version in stock to get the red box. Silly, I know.

Yet 9 hours of gameplay is still more than most of the games released now-a-days it seems...
