Yeah, I'm biting for 10 bucks, sounds fair. I was afraid they would charge $15, but too pessimistic to think they would release it at $6.

Your message was too short.

For those who have totally forgotten what a PSOne title looks like...I still own about 30 PSOne games and over 100 PS2 games. I kept almost all of the PSOne RPGs I had. I've got a bunch of Final Fantasy titles, Chrono Cross is my favorite though.
Purchased it last night.
Any advice? If I end up completing it, this would be the first Final Fantasy to earn that distinction, although I've gotten most of the way through FF 1, 3, 6 & 8.
I figure that even if I don't find the time to play it on the console, I'll likely replace my ailing iPod with a PSP Go, so I'm sure I'll find a venue to play.
Now here's the real question: Is there a way to share save games between console and PSP?

They need to remake their goddamn games not repackage them. God I hate square/enix sometimes because they aren't giving me what i want when they know i would pay for their goddamn product. Pardon me while i go cut myself.

You want a challenge? Try beating the Emerald Weapon underwater WITHOUT the underwater (water-breathing) materia.
It took me more tries than I can count, but when that fucker faded to red, my life (at the time) was complete. Good times :)

Obviously:
(Money likely to be made from a re-packaging of FFVII) > (Money likely to be made from a ground-up FFVII remake)

This is like the To Kill a Mockingbird of rpgs. It's required reading for the class. So yes, if you never got to play it, it's absolutely worth $10.
Myself, I still have both the US and JP versions on my game-shelf. So I won't be picking this up unless my PS1 finally fries.

Such an amazing game, I would be playing this now and taking tomorrow off if I had a ps3.
About bloody time they did this. Never too late to play it for those that haven't. Get on it.

I feel this gaming didn't age that well. Take nostalgia out of the game, and it just isn't as playable as newer RPGs or SNES era games. I remember trying to get back into FFVII after having my original Xbox for a while and just couldn't play it, yet the SNES Final Fantasy games were as playable as ever.
I'm not a fan of remaking games just for the hell of it, but this is a game I feel deserves it.
This video just reminds me how crappy FF games have gotten since FF7.

I completely disagree. I replay FF7 about once every 6 months, it marks the point where the FF games 'grew up' from the half-aborted characterizations of titles like FF4 and FF6 to become a full-fledged interactive work of art.

FF6 is just as great as 7, IMO. It was one of the first RPGs that had a story I really cared about.

I'm not saying it wasn't good when it first came out. And since you seem to play it often, it doesn't look like you give time to realize how poorly it has been aging. The same could be said about the first Metal Gear Solid. Great when it came out, but aging ruined it for a newer audience.
