Eidos Interactive sends along word that their new crime action title, 25 to Life (http://www.25tolife.com/), has Gone Gold.

Eidos has fired off the golden bullet this week as 25 to Life has officially Gone Gold! Be the law, or break the law, there's only one week to wait before the choice is yours. It's like you can already hear the sound of the streets ring with gunfire mixed over your favorite hip-hop beats. It's time to let your own attitude and style shine through as you bring your own personalized character to battle it out with up to 16 players online! Whether you get a blast from throwin' Molotovs, or prefer to safely pick off your foes with a RSG1 sniper rifle, there's a weapon to complement any style from our diverse arsenal.

Will you lead a life of crime, or protect and serve at any cost? Choose wisely... the future of the streets is in your hands. 25 to Life will be available in North America starting January 18th, 2006 on PS2, Xbox, and PC.

Oh yeah, almost certainly, but it won't be the worse of these type of games because 50 Cent has that spot locked in for the forseeable future.

Maybe but sometimes I find these games a guilty pleasure. Like flipping channels at 2:00 AM and coming across Stayin' Alive or another bad flick that you get sucked into that normally you never would.

...or maybe I am just really fscking strange.

Gunfire AND my favorit hip-hop beats? That's a one-two combination that I just can't pass up!

Good point.

Nah, that makes sense. I think it's even normal. The major difference for me, though, is that when I'm flipping channels it's not going to cost me money to tune into a bad movie for a while. :p

I think I speak for all retail game employees in saying I can't wait to see what kind of clientele this lump of shit rolls through our doors.

Well that's what Gamefly is for. I won't have to face a salesclerk to make the purchase. It's like buying p0rn online instead of in-person. Oops, did I say that?

Leave it to the guys who've never been in these situations to show you the experience of being in these situations!

Even more bizarre, this was made in Salt Lake City by some guys that are very talented but probably as far removed from "gangsta" life as you could imagine.

Salt Lake City has alot of zealots. Unexpected that a game like this would come out of that place without the studio being pipe bombed.

That's more like bright yellow to me.

I think these games are having a bad influence on me. I mean, I've always been a moral guy. If I get too rough with a hooker I always leave a big tip. But now I'm taking candy from babies and forcing little kids to play Bulletproof.

Um, I own copies of Peter Jackson's Dead Alive, Bad Taste, and I'm looking for copies of "Meet the Feebles" and "Ricky-Oh!" Just like B-Movies, B-games can be just as fun, although I hardly find myself dedicating 20+ hours to a B-game, or $50+
