Yeah Microsoft has me really excited for ODST, Reach, Conviction, ME2, AC2, and Natal.
Saw a few of the Sony exclusives, a few really impressed me, but the Mii2 wand looks like a Dildo, like the double sided one the PS3 was originally supposed to launch with(they like them some pointy phallic shaped controllers). Haven't even cared enough to look at Nintendo. EA and Ubi were really dull with not many interesting announcements made.

Microsoft for pretty much the full package of games, media, and social interaction.
As for the latest and greatest in motion tech, I found the Natal presentation was way more polished than Sony's dildo.
Sony but by a very slim margin. Felt they did the best job in presenting what they had to offer with the big montage presenting the third party stuff. Agent is a major coup, MAG looked impressive and their exclusive showing was more impressive and immediate. Big support for the PSP got me excited too.
Nintendo pleased me with new Mario and Microsoft got me hyped with Crackdown 2 and L4D2.
Neither MS or Sony impressed me with their motion stuff - I didn't care to start with. I can already access social networking through the Wii and PS3 browser and get the websites full functionality so the 360 apps were nothing spectacular. Sony could have done with a better structure and no release date for GT5 is getting ridiculous - this was a problem across the board for all major publishers.

Voted sony. I am most interested in games and this year Sony has the best. The uncharted 2 demo alone was mindblowing excitement. I wish they had more demos of titles onhand though. More LBP on the PSP and maybe some shots of RE PSP. But Metal Gear on the PSP looked great.
Plus when you compare all of the motion devices, which again I dislike, Sony's looked to be the most exciting.
Sony kicked ass. Heavy rain, Uncharted 2, The Last Guardian, God of War 3, etc.... I don't know what Bungie is doing, Halo is being milked far to much. Nintendo with Mario, Metroid, and sports is pretty cool, but wheres Zelda *cry*. You have the perfect controller for swords and bows now give us the Zelda we want and crave. I'm sure there working on it, its just going to be some time.

Complains about Halo being milked then touts Mario, Metroid, God of War III & cries about no Zelda? Pot meet Kettle! Granted all those look great but like I said in another thread (about Halo : Reach) 3 FPS's & a RTS don't = being milked! Points finger at Final Fantasy. What part of Final don't they get?

Sony waved around a dildo. That count?
Well Final Fantasy is called that because it was intended to be the original designers last punt at a successful RPG and not because it is intended to be a singular title. Just, you know, to get the geek on.

There were so many overlapping games between Sony and Microsoft, but Natal looks better than ps3's double-donger action. Still Peter Molynousomething is the biggest bull shitter in the business. EVERYTHING he says should be taken with whole shakers of salt. Remember Black & White and Fable? No no no no, you won't get me this time Peter.

The PSPGo is just a sad attempt and wtf is that tacked on glowstick dildo? What happened to the slim PS3...I was expecting to be whooed by that but oh well.
Microsoft could really have something with Natal but we shall see what the 'real world' experience is like. I also don't care for having a 'camera' pointed at my while I'm front of the TV (potential big brother action a bit).

Plus when you compare all of the motion devices, which again I dislike, Sony's looked to be the most exciting.
It looked good, pretty much 1:1 tracking.
I'm guessing it's like a reverse of how the Wiimote works, were the Wiimote has a camera that's looking for a couple glowing lights (the sensor bar)... the Sony reversed this and the EyeToy is acting as the Wiimote camera and that glowing ball at the end of the control is acting like the sensor bar.
One disadvantage for Sony's method (and this is a guess) is the way they got things set up it looks like you're losing the "laser pointer" feel of the Wiimote. Notice how godawful the FPS aiming was, the reticle never moved from the center and he was moving the controller around to move the view, but he wasn't aiming at spots on the screen.
Microsoft looked like something completely different, like two cameras seeing where you are in 3d space? The technology there looked way more advanced (face recognition) but a little laggy.
I voted none of the above anyway.

I Disagree, I felt that sony lacked any sense of passion in their presentation. Seemed as if they didn't care, the presenter was not thrilled to be there to say the least. That being said, I was surprised and thought Sony did an impressive job with their motion sensing stuff, that guy shooting the FPS gun and the Arrows was surprisingly accurate and looked like alot of fun. MAG looks like trash, they are tying to shove too much into one game and making it over complex takes away from the skill requirement in games. You cannot do everything all at once, stick to one genre and stop trying to make an RPG/SHOOTER/RTS they are all shit. I could care less about the PSP, nothing but crap comes from it as far as im concerned.

If by exciting you mean effective then I agree. Natal is a lot more ambitious but it wasn't as responsive as what Sony showed. Not so far at least. It won't be out anytime soon so by the time it's ready I would guess that it will have make significant progress on that side. Besides, they could always come up with a complementary magic wand too. :)

Really glad I went with none of the above, I mean I was only talking about pressers, but there is still more E3 overall, other info could come to light to tip the scales.
I really don't see the threat in motion controls, it's really no different than Rockband, games you take out occasionally when you don't want to just veg on the couch play.
But there's no doubt that the one that will win for me is the one where I can swing my own golf club and only get a good hit if it was a good swing.
But it really seems a lot of the most interesting games aren't really coming from the big names.

Nintendo's was just... UGH after UGH.They really need to stop talking numbers and about "innovation" and just show some damn games that will come out sooner than next year.
I voted Microsoft because they announced Crackdown 2, they dove straight into the games and almost never talked about numbers. Natal was cool too, way cooler than Sony's dildo but whether it actually works or not remains to be seen.

I actually liked games from all 3, Nintendo definitely had the weakest of the three, with only new super mario bros. wii (OMG penguin suit! OMG YOSHI RIDING) being a great game coming in 2009.
Microsoft and Sony were really close in my opinion, PSP definitely had a stronger showing than DS (it actually feels wrong to say that for some reason) but when they said they listened to fans for the redesign I had to punch something. No flip-closed screen, no 2nd analog, no way to play the games you allready bought, no improved graphics, no touch screen, smaller screen, analog doesnt look more comfortable, and the thing costs as much as a PSP3000, a large memory card, and a game or two. The truth is though I still give the edge to 360 over PS3, so Microsoft narrowly gets my vote.
Oh, and will somebody PLEASE tell SQUEEDOSNIX to STOP NUMBERING FINAL FANTASY MMO'S LIKE THEY ARE A PART OF THE SERIES!!! It makes more sense for crystal bearers to have a number then the mmos.

You're kidding right?
I mean, it's to the point where we're not only deluged with nothing but sequels that look almost identical to their predecessors, we're now getting sequels on top of sequels.
Two new mario games!
What?
How is that not to the point of almost being insulting?
All the franchises that COULD be on the wii.. all the ideas for using the remote that COULD be... and we're just getting the same crap over and over again.
I was expecting this e3 to be the big one where Nintendo rolled out it's delugeof GAMES. Not more devices and sequels to what few games they already have.

MS hands down. They showed games coming out this year and apps people actually still use these days (netflix, facebook twitter as opposed to Sony's Second Life clone) and gave a sometimes creepy look at where the industry will be in a few years with Milo and Natal.
The glowy dildo from Sony was just embarrassing for them, which was a consistent theme for Sony this year - "we're so desperate for third-parties to make PSP games we're practically giving away the SDK's" and "Square Enix charitably tossed out this online only FF game no one wants since we were so pissed off that they went multiplatform with the game people actually want to buy" and "Gran Turismo really launch sometime before this 10 year cycle is over".

MS hands down. They showed games coming out this year....
Were we watching the same conference?? Sony showed more exclusive titles, and more 2009 titles BY FAR. That's why I voted for them.
Between the exclusive DC MMO, the exclusive FF MMO, the exclusive Rockstar title, the fact that the 360 MGS that was part of their conference ain't exclusive (but the PSP's MGS is!), I really can't fathom why anybody but a Halo zealot would honestly vote for MS over...well, any other choice.
And their motion controls were the most accurate out of anybody else's, indisputably. It's funny how the people that are belittling the "dildo" wand were probably the same people who were making the crass "play with the wii" jokes when Nintendo had their big debut at E3. I guess some people around here will never learn how to pick a winner judging from the results of this farce of a poll

Dude, it's majority rules. Sony may have had more acurate motion control, but clearly they didn't have many new ideas as to what to do with it. Everything they showed looked like it could be done with WiiPlus anyway, which should have comparable acuracy. At least Microsoft showed a couple of new ideas with facial recognition, voice recognition, automatic full body motion mapping on characters, etc. And Lionhead's presentation looked like something that could actually go to market, unlike Sony's pure tech demo...

Poor little fanboy. Poll is disagreeing with him. ;)
TeeCakes, the irony of your post is simply delicious. Personally, as a multiplatform whore I liked both. I was impressed by how precise Sony's dildo was but technologically, Natal was more impressive and ambitious. As for the games well it's a matter of preference. Personally I'm not into MMOs so the ones you mentioned don't have much weight. Definitely looking forward to God of War, The Last Guardian and that Rockstar game though. On the 360 there was Splinter Cell, Crackdown 2, Halo ODST and Reach, Forza 3 and Alan Wake. And man, Twitter! No, just kidding. Twitter is a fucking plague. :D

I never expected anything other than for an EvAv poll to overwhelmingly support everything that 360 does, I was simply stating the obvious.
MS's E3 conference had far less exclusive content to show than Sony's. They both had tech demos of a future motion sensing product, in each case the release date as well as more specifics of how it will work as far as gaming goes remain TBA. Therefore it's silly to proclaim at this stage (like you and others have done) that MS has a "better" concept than Nintendo/Sony.
From the shocking FF14 announcement, to exclusive titles like The Agent, GOW3, Uncarted 2, Heavy Rain, The Last Guardian, everything for the PSP it's clear to anyone who's objective that Sony's conference had more for gamers. Unless you're of the opinion that one Halo title = 6 exclusive PS3 titles, which I'm sure most of the people who voted MS felt.

Sony came in and took that shit.
Project Natal is smoke and mirrors until we see something, but sony showed actual live demos.
The games on PS3 are really starting to distance themselves from the 360. The LAst guardian and Uncharted 2 I don't believe would look as good on the 360.
But microsft showed some cool stuff. Splinter Cell looked amazing, but the Halo games will be more of the same shit I've been playing for the past 8 years.
Nintendo's sucked monster balls, again. Except for Metroid, I could give a shit what they talked about.

Gave it to Sony for the game onslaught. Uncharted2, GoW3, Last Guardian, Jak&Dax, GT5 (Damage, Nascar), and so on. PSPGo looked far better in someone's hands than in the leaked shots, but $50 more than it should be, I'll bite at $199. Fat Princess PSP, GTMobile, RE PSP, etc - very nice.
MS did well, but I was never big on Halo. Great to Alan Wake and Conviction.
Nintendo. It was a good thing Iwata had the vitality sensor, their conference left most comatose. I was Mario'd out long ago, and the new Metroid was a not as exciting as I thought it should be. Highlight for me was actually Golden Sun DS.
Regarding the poll. No surprise, this is EvAv :) The more staunch Sony supporters bailed on this place ages ago lol
Regarding the remarks about Sony's motion device (a prototype engineering sample) looking like a sexual device. Those making these comments likely haven't seen a dildo in real life, much less an actual vagina. In their defence, they are only gloating about what can't be done with Nintendo and Sony devices: spending quality time with a young british boy in the privacy of their own homes.
Yeah, true that's about the press conference, cause if it's was about the good games that came for this year and next year, obviously that would be Nintendo the winner. :)

You may want to point out that Neogaf has closed that poll to all Junior members, otherwise what is about a statistical tie would overwhelmingly favor Sony there - if you've been there long enough you know the fervor strongly favors Sony.

Just admit MS did a better job than Sony. I know it may hurt a little, but it'll make the pain at the end of the year easier to swallow.
For me, I thought Sony did a way better job.
However, I understand that many people liked Microsoft's more. I have no interest in Halo games. I own the first one, and have played extensively the second and third with my friends up at college. The series really has no effect on me. I don't plan on using a thing like Natal because I'm already pissed off with the motion stuff from Nintendo. I see Microsoft as further travelling down that road (as well as Sony), where I have no desire of going. I don't want to be further bothered even further by silly motion control stuff. While I was interested in the Lionhead demo, Peter has a track record of bullshitting. I was interested in Splinter Cell and Alan Wake, which were the only things I find myself remembering from the conference that I was really excited for. The other games are either Multiplatform (which I would thus play on my PC or PS3), or I don't plan on checking out. Twitter/facebook/movie streaming is shit I reserve for my computer. I still don't see why ANYONE would want to be further entrenched in facebook/twitter to the point where they are doing it on their home television. While the MG announcement for Microsoft was fantastic when it was announced...it seems more and more like its not even a typical metal gear game (and coming to the PS3 and PC), so it felt more and more silly as Kojima talked.
Where as I was highly entertained by Sony's games. I've previously enjoyed Final Fantasy games, so the announcement of XIV was intriguing. Uncharted 2 looks damn good. MAG looks impressive. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy creating tracks and racing on the Modnation Racer game with my college buddies and wasting time so that we don't have to do work. I hadn't seen Last Guardian before, so that was lots of news for me. The Rockstar exclusive was interesting. As well, the impressive upcoming library for the PSP really makes me want to purchase a PSPGo, because I don't want to mess around with UMDs again (Although the pricepoint was an extreme letdown). Again, I don't plan on using the motion control, so that was boring.
I think the most important part was attitude of the announcers. I thought that Sony guy was a lot more interesting and appealing than the Microsoft man. Also: Rock Band is a really lame start to a conference. It's fucking rock band. I've seen it and played it enough. The game is just an update of the same thing. I don't care anymore.
Overall, I can see how Microsoft people really like the Microsoft conference, and I can see how Sony people like the Sony conference. I've never really liked the Halo franchise, and I've always liked the Final Fantasy series.

I was hoping a new Zelda game would be announced so I would have a reason to repurchase a Wii, but alas. It's almost become a chore to be a fan of Nintendo. Although Microsoft had an extremely strong showing, I gotta say I am becoming more and more excited about my PS3.

I liked Sony's more than Microsoft's only because they spent less time dicking around with their motion stuff than Microsoft did with theirs.
By the way, at a discussion a new Zelda was announced for 2010. It wasnt shown at E3 because they weren't entirely sure where they wanted it to go yet? Which sounds more like 2011 to me.

MS dicked around? A third (and that's being generous here) of Sony's Press Event was about PS2 and numbers nobody cared about. As for the motion tech demo's they were actually polished vs a room with things you can pick up...there wasn't anything else Sony could've showed, otherwise they'd be 'dicking around' more if they could. Good choice of words by the way, considering they showed off a dildo. ;)

Gamers had the best E3 Press Conference?
Okay, when I wrote this I had "Who won E3" in mind. You couldn't figure that out? Gee, no wonder you're a Sony fanboy! :p

Seriously? Linking Hidefdigest, a mainly Blu-ray review site, for a gaming poll? Grasping straws here...
What part of "silly biased polls" did you not understand??? NONE of these polls are objective-- the fact that I can use any given poll to support my opinion that Sony had the best presentation was my very point!

Sounds an awful lot like you're trying to invalidate someone else's opinion, with nothing but your own emotional argument. Look pal, I might think that people may be sheep for loving the Halo series so much but you'll never catch me saying they're wrong to feel that way.
I'll never admit that MS did a better job, because I honestly don't think they came close to Sony's stealing of the E3 show. I am not alone.

I enjoyed watching all three Press Conferences (Even Nintendo's... I do have two kids who love their Gamecube and their DS's.), but Microsoft totally lost me when they spent 30 - 45 minutes talking about some camera thing that doesn't even exist yet and won't exist for another 24+ months.
Sony spent WAY too much time talking about the PSP Go, which seems horribly designed and terribly overpriced, but at least the games are compatible with the regular PSP and the games they did show for the PSP looked good.
Sony also blew me out of the water with titles like Fat Princess, Gravity Crash and they made my jaw drop out of my head with the announcement of an exclusive title from Rockstar (Agent).
It seemed like Sony finally woke up and realized that great games and great exclusive games is how you sell systems.
More than anything it was that refreshing attitude that I enjoyed from Sony... featuring the games and tons of games instead of the whole thing they have been doing of standing in the back of the room with a smug look on their face insisting that they have the best hardware.

So by your own admission, you make a blunder and somehow are trying to desperately spin it as if I'm the one that showed a lack of intelligence?
No wonder you're not cut out to be a Sony fanboy! :D

I was impressed by the fact that they said EVERY PSP game from now on would be downloadable. I definitely agree that it could have been designed much better...and it definitely shouldn't be 250$. I've never heard of Fat Princess and Gravity Crash, so I suppose I better go rewatch portions (as I couldn't see every bit because I was working...but I listened to all three consoles and watched about 2/3 of each part of each conference that wasn't simply talking). Along with you, I was extremely impressed by the attitude of Sony this year. They were humorous and showed their desire to do better. And Tretton was a REALLY good host, I thought.
I also forgot to mention that Crackdown 2 looks pretty damn good in my previous post.
So to reiterate my first point. Sony appealed to my tastes, though I can see why Microsoft's conference can be more appealing to other people. (Although I'm sure a small portion on each side is due simply to party allegiances, which therefore helps MS much more due to the greater base).

Just have to say, exclusive to me means one platform. If a game is coming out on PC, there's only a small exception to the "I'd rather have it on PC" rule. Those titles don't even count in the presentation for me. I honestly don't get how anyone would want to get a Valve game on a console... one of their highest selling points is the mod community. I'll be playing it in Windows7 (and in many cases using my 360 controller), guess that would be an MS selling point.
On that note, I had to vote for Sony. More (actual) exclusives, and more games that demoed that I would actually play on their system. I haven't much cared for Halo since the first one (which was better on PC), and I'll admit to being a Gran Turismo fanboy. I don't know if I like the new PSP, and I'm not a fan of hack-and-slash so much so God of War III isn't on my list. Glad (and excited) the unnamed Rockstar ps3 exclusive IP got announced, still waiting on LA Noire though. Crystal Bearers is cool, the rest from Nintendo was the usual or "iffy at best." More Mario, another peripheral, etc. I'll have to see about Metroid, always dubious about big Nintendo character titles from outside studios after the Starfox games following Starfox64 (still one of the greatest games of all time, my first purchase once I got my Wii hooked up).
All-in-all though, this is looking to be a good season for gamers. Lots of surprises, lots of AAA titles, so on and so forth. Figuring out how I'm going to afford all this stuff I want though...

I think Sony won..... the award for how many fucking times you can show Gran Turismo 5 at E3 without releasing the damn thing.
They both had okay stuff and in the end there really wasn't enough exclusivity on one versus the other to make someone say "I wish I had *insert name of next gen console they don't own* instead of the one I already own".

Well, now that the dust has settled it's clear my first impression that no company "won" E3 was right, they all just did what they needed to do.
Sony caught up a lot in the games library with a lot of exclusive announcements, even if much if it is mindshare only, since we aren't sure how many of them won't release untill holiday '10 or beyond. They now have a plan for motion control to take advantage of any "breakthroughs" that may happen. And the PSP is starting to look like a handheld I would own, if I wanted to own a handheld.
Nintendo made their fanbase happier than last year for sure, and anything that encourages co-op play I support, even if it's playing SMB again. Plus it definately looked to me that the new Wiimote was more precise, therefore much more useful.
And MS started showing the early adopter some reasons why not to abandon the platform after their 360 goes 3red out of warranty. I mean let's face it, we already know that we will be playing lots of pretty good games on our 360s between now and when they give out. And knowing that the PS3 is gonna have alot of pretty games games coming out, including quite a few exclusives, it'll take a lot for me to pay for a new 360 or a repair bill on it, when that money could go toward a PS3.
But games that truely couldn't be done on any other platform might just get me to buy back in, and Natal has the potential to do that.
I want the motion control where I can have two hands on my controller, take one hand off the controller, NOT pick anything else up, make some motion, and than put both hands back on the controller. I think there are plenty of ways that tech could greatly enhance the gaming I do now.

I cant make myself be too enthusiastic about Sonys press conference, only because a large part of it was about the psp, and I consider the psp to be a waste of space. It is good they are trying to improve it and actually get some software out there for it, but eh. God of War and Uncharted look awesome, but from what I have read of Heavy Rain it doesnt appeal too much (although that could easily change.) Not to mention games like the Agent are probably so far off its hard to get excited about that.
Microsoft on the other hand have crackdown, Left4dead2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell; games I actually care about. So while it seems Sony had more to announce and in a general view probably won, from a personal perspective Microsoft have alot more games that I care about (and thats not even counting Halo, which I have never been a huge fan of. But will probably get anyway.)
